Need a high energy, non-stop dance party atmosphere? Wedding? Touch of Class? We mix classics from the 1960s through to present day hits! Add a little funk, a little country, some Pop, a little RnB, and those fabulous Smithville South harmonies, and you have the perfect recipe for a great night of fun! Your guests will not be able to sit still! Nat King Cole? We do that, too.
Never heard of us?! That's because we mostly play events - like weddings, corporate parties, private parties, cocktail parties, fundraisers and festivals - and only occasionally play clubs. We bring years of professional experience to the stage!

Smithville South was a total knockout at our event. Professional in every way. No supervision necessary. They followed all instructions perfectly from set-up to tear down. The best part was our event participants who stayed longer than ever before to enjoy the group and their music.

They are an amazing band and wonderful to work with. Very professional and had an awesome selection of music. They sounded great no matter where you were on our property and we are sure there were even a few boats down on the lake that really enjoyed the live music. Everyone in the band is very personable and great to go with and we will definitely have them back again.

Smithville South came out and played for my husband's 45th birthday....wow what a great time! Wendy was so professional and easy to work with right from the start and it just continued through the whole event. The band played oldies that my parents loved, some new hip stuff my 16-year old niece just died for and a touch of country and Elvis my husband lead me to the dance floor to enjoy! Very versatile and so accommodating. Thanks Gig Salad and especially Smithville South for making our evening one to remeber!!!

We provide our own equipment, PA and lighting. We expect the venue to provide electrical outlets and adequate covering if outside. We set up before your guests arrive and tear down after their leave.
Weddings are quoted on a basis of complexity and length. We will honor requests for songs for those special dances and events, and are happy to provide music for the happy hour as well.
We would love to work with you to plan your event. We are flexible, and will plan the entertainment around your vision. We want to make your event special!
Seasoned musicians with a polished sound to make any occasion special. All band members have a long list of credits to their name playing everything from country to funk to pop, and have been together for 10 years as Smithville South.
We specialize in private parties, corporate parties, weddings, special events and festivals.
We provide our own equipment and lighting. We do require adequate electrical outlets. PAs and stage lighting can pull a lot of electrons, so please provide more than one outlet and, if possible, put the electrical on more than one breaker!
Outdoor parties and events must have adequate cover for the band, and a stage floor that is off the ground. The floor can be anything from a full stage to a flatbed truck to plywood on the ground, but it must have a floor to keep equipment dry in the event of rain. Cover must have the ability to keep the band and equipment dry during inclement weather.
Loading equipment, driving, setting up, sound check, and tearing down is a necessary part of a working band. Please bear in mind that our pricing includes the time required to do this. Set up generally requires 60 - 90 minutes, and tear down generally 45 - 60 minutes
Quality music requires quality sound, and quality sound requires good equipment. We take the time to do it right!

We play danceable hits from the 1960s through to the present day. You will hear everything from Fleetwood Mac to Megan Trainor, and from Trisha Yearwood to Train. Our song lists work well for mixed age groups, weddings, festivals and parties. Our sets generally last between 1 hour and 1 hour 15 minutes with a 15-20 minute break until the next set.
