Spreading holiday cheer for all to hear! From private events to tree lightings, our brass quartet brings music to life!
Founded by trumpet player Drew Ninmer, the So Cal Holiday Brass consists of the finest brass players in Southern California. Our musicians are studio musicians for film and tv, and have performed with every major orchestra in Southern California. With nearly 50 holiday selections in our repertoire, we can perform songs from traditional Christmas carols to fun holiday sing-alongs. With over 25 performances at a dozen different locations in 2023, the So Cal Holiday Brass has quickly become the go-to group for any holiday event!

I caught the brass band at Lido Marina Village in Newport. I had no idea such a thing existed. My friend and I were so blown away we got a business card and called them a few days later and booked them to play at my home for a private event during the Newport Beach Boat Parade.

The group performed for the city of Huntington Beach Winter Wonderland. The addition of live music really made the event special. Many kids were getting up and dancing and the band members handed out jingle bells and sang along with them. Super cute.

I found the So Cal Holiday Brass on Instagram and reached out to Drew for a private holiday party in December of 2023 in Newport Beach. He was immediately responsive and even took song requests throughout the night. The guys were very handsome and generous with their time. I can’t recommend them enough for any function to add holiday cheer! I’ve already been in touch with Drew for this year, we can’t wait to have them back!

What to Expect
Our group consists of top-notch professionals. All of our musicians are musicians for a living, not hobbyists! As a professional trumpet player myself, I ensure that the quality of our group is professional in appearance, punctual, and sounding amazing.
Our group is very flexible- we do not require amplification, chairs, and we can move around and play in various locations, as long as there is enough room for us to stand.
We have 57 holiday songs to choose from, from sacred to secular, from straight ahead to jazzy swingers. We also do some sing-alongs to get the audience involved if desired.

Additional Booking Notes
No amplification needed! Our group can be intimate and quiet, but can also fill up outdoor spaces as well. One comment we have gotten from a client for an outdoor candlelight walk was that our group was so much better than a traditional caroling group because they could HEAR us!
Minimal lighting is required. We do need to be able to read off our small flip folders.

Our influences are a mix of traditional caroling- (I have transcribed Singers Unlimited arrangements for our group), to jazzy swinging holiday carols. Our musicians are proficient in all genres of style.
