Sodo Samba is a Seattle based jazz quintet with a Samba & Bossa Nova feel but with undercurrents of Rock & Soul. Debra Nielsen is the versatile vocalist performing jazz and pop standards with a twist. Bob Neale, a jazz bassist, with incredible pedigree & experience, holds the Samba lines together. John Woelfel is an accomplished violinist with roots in Classical. Jay Freeborne, guitarist and Marty Goldstein, percussionist, who previously formed Seattle's Bossa in Wonderland, lay out the Samba/Bossa grooves. Sodo Samba is perfect for your any event. We bring the PA tailored to your setting, and the grooves. We are very danceable, but also great for listening or background music.
