Classic rock covers from the 70's. 80's and 90's. Folk, classic country from the 60s' and 70's, and originals (90's alt-rock). Vocals with acoustic/electric guitar. I use light backing (pre-recorded acoustic guitar and backing vocals via I-Pod).
He arrived early, set up all his equipment quickly, and did his sound check while walking the perimeter with his guitar! I appreciated his song choices to change the vibe throughout the event. He played upbeat during the pool and playtime and mellowed out while people ate. I didn’t have to ask for any of that. What a load off of my mind! Thanks, Scotty, for making our party sound great!

Music selection was great, he even did some requests. He showed up an hour early to set up even it didn't take a full hour. Very easy to work with, did his thing and was such a wonderful addition. All perfect and zero complaints. Highly recommend!
Scotty was awesome! We had Scotty out for our Son's high school graduation party and he did a fantastic job. He was polite and friendly on the personal side also. As a musician, he played classic rock which was perfect! Our son loves this kind of music-as well as the parents attending the party!! He sounded great and was very engaging with the crowd! We had around 100 people throughout the night and everyone loved his music! Soooo happy to have found Scotty on this web site! Best decision for our party, he was defiantly a huge hit! Our kids and friends are still talking about how much they enjoyed Scotty! We can not say enough good things! We will definitely recommend him!
I hired Scotty Young and his partner Eddie for a backyard party / celebration. I can't say enough about how well they fit in and really made this event special. Both gentlemen were professional all the way, great sound system, excellent set list, and these guys can play !! Very easy going , they worked with me on every level with some special requests I made from them.
The crowd loved them, this is with out a doubt, the best thing I did for my event....was too hire Scotty and Eddie. I would hire them again without hesitation. A great value for the money. I'm ready to have another party just to have them here again.

My name is Scotty Young. I am a singer/songwriter/drummer/guitarist. I've been playing drums and guitar for over 30 years, I perform classic rock/oldies from the 70's and 80's, some 60's and 70's country and folk, as well as some original material that is '90's alternative rock style. Influences range from The Beatles to Foo Fighters. I sing, play acoustic/electric guitar and use some light backing I pre-recorded to support my guitar solos. Also an independent pro drummer, I play weddings, bars/lounges, cafes, private parties, corporate events, just about any gig. I'm extremely passionate and dedicated, hard working, friendly and I love what I do.
For the kind of work I'm doing, I'm pretty self-sufficient equipment-wise. I can provide my own quality sound and lighting. Reliable, Punctual. Fun!
