Sampada is a North Indian Classical Sitar player who has performed in the Pacific Northwest at various venues for more than 15 years. She has performed at SAM, SAAM, NW Folklife, Bainbridge Island Art Museum, MoPAP, Seattle Convention Center, as well as at weddings and senior centers. She gives solo recitals with Tabla for corporate events, yoga and meditation retreats, lecture-demonstrations, weddings etc. She also conducts private lessons.
Sampada and her live tabla accompany made our Dada’s 80th birthday very special for him and our guests. They were generous with their knowledge and skills, teaching as well as playing. And the music was spirit filled and beautiful.
