Barry is MC at many Powwows. Emcee work can be packaged with a Spirit Wing booking.
PLEASE NOTE: between the 12-01-2019 and 4-1-2020 we will not be booking as a duo, as Barbara will be recovering from wrist surgery. Barry Lee will be AVAILABLE during those dates as a single act.
We had the pleasure of having Spirit Wing perform at my father's funeral service, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for their presence. Barry and Barbara were incredibly flexible and accommodating, arriving early and starting to play light, spiritual Native American music during the viewing. My father had a deep love for Native American flute music, and I know he was smiling as he listened to Barbara play "Amazing Grace" on the flute.
Their dedication went beyond the viewing, as they accompanied our family to the grave site. Barry's short prayer in Unami was beautiful and filled with so much meaning, adding a deeply personal touch to the service. Despite the last-minute arrangements, Barry and Barbara were more than accommodating, ensuring everything went smoothly.
I wholeheartedly recommend Spirit Wing for all occasions. Their talent, flexibility, and heartfelt performances made a significant impact on our family during a difficult time.
I was unfortunately sick for the actual visit but I watched a video of the presentation and heard nothing but great things from the students and teachers! It was exactly what I was hoping for! Thank you so much for coming and teaching us a little about your culture! We look forward to hosting you again next year!

Spirit Wing also does Classic Country gigs playing both the guitar and the banjo! Barry sang and played at my father's 85th birthday party this weekend and it was a blast. I can't express in words how much my father and the rest of the family enjoyed his singing and playing! I'd highly recommend him. He was so nice and easy to work with and even willing to learn new songs if we wanted him to. We hope to have him play for us at another family event sometime in the future. Thanks so much Barry!

Spirit Wing is a family friendly act. We carry a positive message to our audience. We are Eastern Woodland and our music shows that. Along with our original music which is very folk/Americana in flavor using Native American Flute and guitar along with vocals. Along with many of these songs come the stories that inspired them.
We also perform Eastern Woodland social dances on traditional instruments. (water drum, horn rattles) inviting the audience to dance with us if there is room. Since the year 2000, Spirit Wing has appeared at many Americana Music, Folk Music, and Native American Festivals within Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland area and have traveled as far West as Colorado and South to Florida.
A small sample of our prior appearances include; Bethlehem Musikfest, Philadelphia Folk Festival 2003 and 2005, Showcased at the National Folk Alliance in Memphis, TN. Angel Mounds Native American Days, IN, Nassau Community College Folk Festival, NY. Delmarva Folk Festival, New Jersey Folk Festival, Garden of the Gods Powwow, Forksville Folk Festival, Susquehanna Music and Arts Festival, Penn’s Landing, Hickory Fest and more.
Spirit Wing has been nominated six times for a Native American Music Award. ((link hidden)) Our music comes from a strong folk/acoustic music tradition along with traditional Native songs that date back hundreds of years.
We perform mostly original contemporary material and we can supply, for an event featuring a dance tent, Eastern Woodland Traditional Social Dances. Inviting the audience to join us in doing our traditional dances.
