I teach and call Square Dance Parties for all groups whether Corporate, School, Church or Private - for those who have never Square Danced as well as seasoned Square Dancers. I'm recognized for energizing and stimulating the camaraderie of groups and putting ‘Fun’ and ‘Entertainment’ into corporate and private parties.
My goal is to promote Square Dancing as America’s favorite pastime for all age groups. I'm a member of the North Texas Callers Association. I maintain a current BMI/ASCAP license which allows me to use copyrighted music while performing Square Dance parties and events.
You provide the Party - I provide the FUN!!
Mr. Shoemaker cared about all of the audience with ever music pick and energized everyone and danced himself the whole hot time.

After hearing Wayne call a Barn Dance in Carlton Landing, Ok, I thought that Square Dancing would be a GREAT way to bring family and friends together to learn something new on my birthday. In Carlton Landing he had a live band, while at my birthday party he had his own music set up. Both occasions were so fun. My friends commented that they would like to get together quarterly to continue the fun! We marveled at his ability to call the dance while dancing too! I highly recommend him. He is a great communicator and will help you navigate how to set up a fun evening for everyone.

Wow! What a great experience we had working with Wayne. He was very easy and professional to work with in the planning stages. We have used Mr Shoemaker over 5 times for our square dances. We have over 100 teens coming each time and they absolutely love it. Mr Shoemaker explains the dance moves so well. The kids pick up on it and absolutely love his calling. We have kids asking us each year when is the next square dance. It is one of their favorite events of the year!

We had a wonderful time! Children aged 5 to adults aged 71 enjoyed the night! Some were so skeptical but everyone said they want to do square dancing again. Wayne played great music during our dinner and was a great guest at dinner making conversation. We will definitely consider square dancing at future events!

I brought my bluegrass trio out to Oklahoma to meet Wayne for this event. Wayne did a stellar job calling dances while we played the music. We asked him to gauge the crowd and manage the flow of the evening, and he really proved he is an excellent leader! He typically calls with his own music, and he did do some of that to give us a break, but for the majority of the time he adapted his calling to my band and let us know very clearly what he wanted and when. We will absolutely use him for dances in the future!

Not only did he do the line dance calling at the wedding this weekend, he also served as the MC for the reception. His playlists are delightful and all the songs people enjoy, plus he'll add in whatever you request. His calling is simple enough for those who've never danced and enjoyable for those who have. He is gentle, kind, friendly and approachable. He has called for us for many years and we thoroughly recommend his services. He knows what he's doing! And he does it with grace and a sweet spirit.

Wayne Shoemaker did an amazing job getting the crowd excited to dance and learn new things. Most of the people at this event had never square danced before but they all enjoyed it! Even though I have square danced before I still learned something new and I would definitely do it again if I had the opportunity!
