I am a steel pan player who was born in Trinidad where steel pan music originated. While growing up in Trinidad, I learned to play all types of music on the the steel pan and performed in many concerts and competitions. I am currently based in Sarasota, Florida, provide all types of music (calypso, reggae, soca, Latin, Pop, Smooth Jaz, R&B) and can travel to perform anywhere in the continental USA from my home base.
We had a Caribbean Night at our association and Steel Pan Jam was our entertainment. He was BIG hit! Everyone loved him and they are looking forward to a party next season. Kudos to Steel Pan Jam!
our guests loved the atmosphere that the steel drums created during our happy hour. it was a great touch to our wedding day! the only issue was that sometimes the steel drums were a little hard to hear over the wind and recorded track music.
thanks for helping to make our day magical!
Response from Steel Pan Jam:
Very elegant reception. I wish you all the best.
Ron arrived totally prepared and ready to perform. He made us feel from the start he would do his best to make to it a great event. He did not fail.My family enjoyed his relaxing sounds while they eat and drank to their hearts content. His music took them off to the carribbean islands without needing a ticket to fly.Thank you Mr Steel Pan Man.
Response from Steel Pan Jam:
Thanks for the kind words! I wish your son and his wife all the best in their new life together.
Steel Pan Jam entertained the crowd for the entire program and played melodies that were from several genres of music - his performance was appreciated by and his ability to play the right tune to get the crowd moving, was recognized by all. The program would not have been the same without his great performance and skill.
The music was just perfect for a mixed age crowd. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
Great performance and would hire them back.

I learned to play steelband music growing up in Trinidad after receiving a tenor pan for Christmas and promptly joined Invaders for Carnival. I later moved over to Starlift and played tenor on the band's stage side until leaving for Howard University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I later returned to Trinidad briefly for Carnival to play tenor in a Panorama Final with Starlift. During my time with Starlift, I played tenor with Metronomes in a Steelband Music Festival. While at Howard University, I played tenor and double seconds with the Trinidad Steelband until my graduation. While living and working in Boston, Massachusetts, I played tenor and double seconds with the Modern Sounds Steelband.
