Words cannot express how happy we are that we booked Steve! I wanted to hire someone that would be perfect for my mother's 70th surprise party and Steve, not only hit, but exceeded all of my expectations (which were pretty high). All of our guests kept raving about how amazing the piano player was, not only the night of the party... but the days following as well. People have been calling to tell us how wonderful the party was and every single one of them mentions Steve, the beautiful music he played and how talented he was. For those who'd like more specific details... Steve arrived early & he played nearly the entire time. I offered him drinks & to grab some food... but he played, practically, the entire party. Besides being incredibly talented and having an extensive repertoire, he was very friendly & professional as well. One thing my guests loved was that they could throw out a name of a song & Steve would, then, start playing it... just off the top of his head... no sheet music needed. The amazing thing was he knew so many songs... and they were all from different genres; some jazz, some classical, some american song book, some showtunes; in specific I had communicated through email, prior to the event, and had asked for songs from Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Elton John, Beatles, Nat King Cole & a lot of the american song book favs. Our guests ranged from the age of 1, all the way up, to 94 years old and every single person loved the music. When our niece came upstairs and sat down next to him, he played the theme from Sesame Street, followed by a request for 'the alphabet song' in which every single person in the room was singing 'A B C D E F G'... All of the children and all of the adults were singing together. It was a funny, yet beautiful moment & although it's a simple song, as is Happy Birthday, the way Steve played it sounded so magical. It was really neat to see how, on a whim, he accommodated both the children & the adults and did it all so seamlessly. Steve is really talented & I could go on and on... but the overall consensus was we were EXTREMELY pleased with Steve's performance, interaction & being able to play anything and everything. We didn't want him to leave... hiring him really made/completed our party. All in all... If you don't know who to hire and you're on the fence... you will not be disappointed with Steve. He is fantastic and I would hire him again, in a heartbeat. Steve, Thank you for making my mother's surprise 70th a perfect night.

Steve was the ultimate professional. A gifted jazz pianist and a real gentleman with a warm personality and wonderful sense of humor. He had a seemingly limitless repertoire of music and included timeless jazz classics with a number of selections from Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas album that added a special holiday feel to our wedding cocktail reception. I lost count of the number of guests who said that Steve's performance made the evening both enjoyable and elegant. We can't speak highly enough about his wonderful contribution to our celebration. We had a lawn party celebrating our son's engagement. Steve, accompanied with a bass player, played almost the entire afternooon (1-5). Totally profession & highly accomplished. Their breaks were few & short playing recorded music until they returned. It was perfect background music stting the stage for a wonderful afternoon. Steve encouraged requests and played music from the 30's to the present. Exactly what we wanted.

I was lucky to find Steve on short notice to play for my Mother's 90th Birthday party, and so glad I did! He is delightful, friendly, professional and amazingly talented. I can't say enough about his musical range and knowledge, and my mother was thrilled to hear some old favorites from the big band era! Steve performed for about 90 minutes during cocktails at an anniversary party. The performance was great, exactly what we were looking for. Steve was great - communicative prior to the event about the types of music we wanted and very professional during the party. He was super nice to my 10 year old daughter - a budding piano player herself. Nothing but good things to say.

Steve provided some great entertainment for all the guests of my wife's birthday party. He's great at taking requests and helped make everyone feel at home.

I was trying to add a little something special for my Mom's 86th Birthday and thought a little live music would be fun. The party was 90% classical musicians, so I knew they'd appreciate a good pianist. I wanted a nice mixture of Cole Porter, Gershwin, Sinatra, etc. played as nice melodic soundtrack to the party. The problem was I live in California and the party was in CT. Gratefully, I found this fabulous site, and when I entered what kind of pianist and songs I wanted, Steve's name popped up! I looked at his description and musical leanings, let alone where he used to play in CA(!() and decided he was the one. He certainly didn't disappoint. He arrived a little ahead of time; all dressed up and raring to go. His repertoire was enormous. He’s almost encyclopedic as far as requests are concerned. I absolutely would hire him again and again – too bad he doesn’t live closer to me! But for all of you lucky folks in CT – enjoy his playing – you will be pleased to perfection! ready to make the gathering a "party"

I heard Steve play at a function in Middletown.I was looking for a pianist for a small wedding.I suggested some songs and he could play everything I suggested with style.I hired him and he was very accomodating to the wishes of the bride and groom and guests.I will hire him again
