“"Stringfield, as a group, has captured the history and beauty of the hammered dulcimer. Their musical expertise, in this genre, will keep this music alive for generations to come.. . no strings attched. We booked Stringfield for our wedding and wow we could not have picked a more perfect band! The band perfectly blended into the scenery and the music helped create a peaceful atmosphere that left us and our guests happy. And they were so kind too!
Stringfield did a wonderful job! The music was unique and beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for. Highly recommend them!
Response from Stringfield:
Thank you so much!

Our group plays instrumental music for all occasions. Great for dinner, background, festival performances, and concerts. We work as a duo, trio, and sometimes quartet.
Stringfield is a truly unique band that features many variations, Stringfield adds players as needed per the type of occasion. Turner Collins on button box and harp, Jane Collins on fiddle and mandolin, Barry Smith on Guitar. The band performs Irish / Scottish, English, Old-Time, and some original music. We are adding some Swedish traditional music as well. They have performed at festivals, concerts, local events, weddings, and in Japan.
Victoria Johnson hails from Springfield, MO: in addition to the Hammered Dulcimer, she plays the guitar, Swedish nyckelharpa, and Celtic fiddle. She has won 1st in the SW regional competition and 1st in Oklahoma State on the dulcimer as well as traveling to Japan in 2003 to play at the Isaseki Bon Festival.
Gail Morrissey is from Hollister, MO: she plays concertina and the hammered dulcimer. She won 1st in the SW regional competition and an honorable mention that year at the National competition. Gail also traveled to Japan to play at the Isaseki Bon Festival.
The setup depends on the size of our group; the dulcimers have pickups as well as the violin. We have a small sound system for two players (Fishman) when just two are playing. When the trio plays we have a sound system as well.
