Jerry made the afternoon fly by with his knowledge of How to Stay Positive in the work place. He had us identify our personality and suggested we have our co-workers do the same so we can understand each other better and how to compliment us. He integrated humor and real life situations to help us better understand.

Leadership/Success Speaker
We asked Jerry to speak our team about respect for each other's skills. We have a lot of employees who have been here 20 years or more, about the same for those of 0 to 5 years of experience with Ripley's.
In the middle group of 5 years to 20 years there was the largest representation.
Jerry provided the dialogue that we needed through a couple of exercises designed to encourage us all to work together. We feel that Jerry's presentation was a success, based on the positive feedback that we received from a lot of the attendees.

What to Expect
As an experience school administrator, I offer a great deal of Leadership knowledge that I share in my presentations:
1) Another Seat at the Table: Diversity and Inclusion (Training to meet essential EEOC criteria)
2) Power of Positive Leadership or Power of Positive Leadership
3) Honor the Past, Celebrate the Future! (Presentation on Generational Differences and Personality Languages)
4) Communication That Hits the Mark (Presentation on Personality Languages and the Platinum Rule—talking in the language style audience/client/ receiver hears best)
5) DISC for Students and Adults ( Using the DISC Personality Indicators to determine Personality Language and how to use this new knowledge).
I recently added “Another Seat at the Table,” a comprehensive Diversity & Inclusion training program. This 3-hr training can be done in one shot or split into 2 or 3 segments. This program meets the compliance criteria of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) as well as gets employees to take a close, honest look on their true feelings on diversity and inclusion.
About
After graduating from Moorhead State University ((Mn), I began my elementary teaching career in 1978 in Ogilvie, Mn (K-12 school population 450). During my eight year stint there, I also coached football, basketball and softball while finishing my administrative degree work at St. Cloud St. University. My 31-year elementary principal career took me to Clarissa, Osakis, Perham and Detroit Lakes in Mn. My final six years took me to Fargo, ND.
Along the way I served many additional roles including Title I Director, Summer School Director, Summer Rec Leader, HS Football Official (27 yrs), State educational organization board member and president. Many awards came my way because I had such outstanding staff to work with.
Following retirement in 2017, I kept busy subbing at schools, driving bus and trolley, but decided I missed the interaction with students and adults too much to stay idle. I started SuccessBuilders as a way to use my passion for learning and training in a positive way. In 2019 I was incredibly fortunate to train with two of the best, Leadership guru John Maxwell and Mr. Positivity Jon Gordon. I am equipped and ready to rock and roll!
