Swim Splash Mermaid

Swim Splash Mermaid shows are perfect for a variety of events, including kids’ birthday parties, corporate events, charity fundraisers, pool parties, bachelorettes, and much more. We offer a range of packages to suit all budgets, and our shows can be customized to suit any event or occasion.

Activities vary depending on type of event, and can include mermaid swimming, interacting with guests, taking photos with guests, mermaid swim lessons, games, competitions and more!

Meet Olivia Dyck, the owner of Swim Splash Mermaid, also known as Mermaid Hadley®! As a PADI Mermaid Instructor, PADI Freediver and teacher based in Toronto, Canada, she brings a unique blend of education and aquatic expertise to her work as a professional mermaid.

Since 2022, Olivia has provided top-notch mermaid entertainment services. She performs for a variety of events, including corporate events, birthday parties, pool parties, and photo/film shoots. SWIM SPLASH MERMAID Policies:
By booking with us you are agreeing to everything listed below.

1. Contract: By paying the invoice, the client confirms the booking and agrees to the following terms & conditions.

2. Refunds: 50% deposit is non refundable and paid at time of booking. If you cancel more than 7 days in advance, will be refunded the remaining balance.

3. Cancellation: If we cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund. The client may cancel a party due to weather or unforeseen circumstances or illness, and will receive credit for future use. Events can only be rescheduled one time, without charges, if it is done AT LEAST one week in advance of the event.

4. Liability: The enrolled participant(s) and/or the parent/guardian of the participant(s) agree and understand that swimming is a HAZARDOUS activity. Swim Splash Mermaid will complete a swim assessment as part of all Swim Like a Mermaid Events, and recommend any guest that does not pass should NOT swim with a monofin and tail. The participant recognizes that there are risks inherent when swimming, including but not limited to, paralyzing injuries and death. The participant hereby agrees to participate in the Swim Splash Mermaid event and hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Swim Splash Mermaid, its instructors, owners, management, agents and employees against any liability resulting from any injury that may occur to the participant while participating in any event. The participant also agrees to indemnify Swim Splash Mermaid for any damages incurred arising from any claims, demand, action or cause of action by the participant. The participant authorizes any representative of Swim Splash Mermaid to have the participant treated in any medical emergency during their participation in the event. Further, the participant and/or parent/guardian agree to pay all costs associated with medical care and transportation for the participant.

5. Additional Time: Please book the correct amount of time needed for your event or party at time of booking. Mermaid performer must leave on time in order to be available for other events.

6. Event Start Time: Changes to the event start time by request of the Client more than 48 hours in advance may be accommodated at the discretion of the booking team and will be based on availability. Client agrees not to hold Swim Splash Mermaid responsible for inclement weather or other Acts of God that may cause delayed start time to the event.

7. Changes to Party Length: Changes in party length by request of the Client may be accommodated at the discretion of the booking team and are based on availability. Any changes must be made within 48 hours of the party date.

8. Location: The client takes responsibility for accommodating inclement weather, such as rain, by providing an indoor venue. Mermaids must be given time and a space to change without children present. After this change, guests may enter the outdoor or indoor space. The mermaid performer(s) must be given private space to change at the end of the event (without guests present) to change back into “human legs” to leave the event venue.

9. Media Release: When booking an event, you will be asked to sign a media release for the sharing of photos and/or video to the Swim Splash Mermaid website and/or social media. Guests have the option to opt out by checking NO to sharing of any photos/video footage on the media release forms.

10. Excessive Damage: We understand that accidents happen, however, the Client may be held responsible for any damage deemed EXCESSIVE to mermaid costumes and/or property of Swim Splash Mermaid during the Client’s event. The cost to replace/repair damaged/broken costumes or materials will be billed to the Client.

11. Adult Supervision: We ask that the parent(s) or guardian(s) of the birthday child stay for the duration of the party to attend to any needs of the children. Adults are welcome to stay and enjoy the performance, but we ask that onlookers keep the noise to a minimum so the children can adequately hear all instructions from the Performer.

12. Liability: All clients will sign a liability form for each participant prior to the event. Must be submitted 48 hours in advance. The Client agrees to hold and keep harmless Swim Splash Mermaid and its performers from any and all property damages and/or bodily injury damage caused by the Client or any/all guests. In any water activity, parents, children, and performers all choose to swim at their own risk. Swim Splash Mermaid, its performers, and its staff may not be held responsible for any medical incident.

By agreeing to hire Swim Splash Mermaid, you agree and understand that there are inherent dangers when swimming, and also when swimming with a mermaid. WE CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OR WELL-BEING OF ANY GUESTS OR CHILDREN AT YOUR EVENT. You agree to not bring any charges or claims against Swim Splash Mermaid, or any of their performers.

13. Safety: Our performers are trained to keep the safety of your guests in mind at all times. If there is ever a situation where the performer(s) or manager(s) feel unsafe, they will address the issue with the parent/guardian/Client. If the issue is not resolved, the performer will leave. We hold the right to leave at any time due to safety concerns.

14. Your Event: Event details can always be found on your invoice and will be sent in an email confirmation.

15. Breach: Any breach in this contract automatically constitutes a cancellation in your party/event and any and all payments made to Swim Splash Mermaid will be forfeited by the client.

16. Proof of insurance : If your facility requires a proof of insurance with their name added to our policy as an additional insured. It may take up to 1 month to be added by our insurer. Please let us know as soon as possible. Include the full name and address of the facility.

17. Pool temperature should ideally be at 90°F/ 32°C the warmer the better. Or at a minimum or 84°F/ 28°C for the mermaid to be able to perform properly and safely. If the pool is at a lower temperature the mermaid may not be able to go in the pool and will sit on the pool deck for photos instead.
