I play a balanced set of original music and covers of pop songs, either acoustic or with a full band.
An event planner can expect a diverse performance from me, depending on the need of the venue/gig. I can either play an acoustic set with minimal percussion, or I am able to provide a full band for a more upbeat and lively performance. I have a diverse repertoire of pop, singer-songwriter, blues, jazz, and rock material. I love to have fun with performances, and provide exactly whatever the event planner needs.
If I perform solo, my performance requires no lighting or staging. I only need an amp to plug my guitar in to. However, if I perform with a band I'll need enough room to be able to fit a few other instrumentalists.
I accept song requests. I will also perform a few original songs, along with well known songs of any style.
As a child, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner were my main influences. Their music definitely influenced how I write music, and the amount of story telling within my lyrics. Joss Stone, Adele, and Ed Sheeran inspire my tonality and how I interpret phrases. Despite my classical training, I'm a sucker for the crispy, raw, organic sound these artists produce.
