As a one man theatre show, Joe Wiegand's T.R. shares stories full of adventure, laughter and inspiration. As. T.R., Joe adapts unique presentations for each of his audiences and is perfect for banquets, conferences, celebrations, and school assemblies.
Enjoy T.R.'s adventures as rancher, Rough Rider and father of six in the White House. Relive the establishment of America's great National Parks, Forests, Monuments and Wildlife Reserves.
Hear the amazing stories of the frail young boy who built his body and dedicated himself to the Vigorous Life and the Square Deal. From bear hunts to the Panama Canal, from Africa to the Amazon, T.R.'s delightful stories come to life with wit & charm.
Joe spoke to a large crowd of our Christian Men’s Fellowship that included males ranging in age from Boy Scouts to World War II veterans. He was both captivating and inspiring, including a Christian witness during his closing remarks. His breadth of Theodore Roosevelt knowledge and wit was remarkable and equally matched by his mastery of TR’s speech and mannerisms. He readily accepted an unlimited scope of questions from the audience and easily answered them “in character” or “as Joe” depending on the inquiry. One bonus that was totally unexpected by me was that he “worked” the crowd before our dinner and was then able to comfortably weave names of attendees and their conversations with him into his program.
Joe brought President Theodore Roosevelt to our school for a day of in-class visits with our 11th grade American History students. He captivated the students at all levels - from general level classes to AP students – and even though he provided each class with information they’d need to know in their studies, he had such a wealth of anecdotes about TR that his presentation stayed fresh, even during the final class! The American History teachers were delighted, and I saw other teachers and school staff come in during the day, just to watch for a few minutes. Perhaps the best review of all came from another parent, who wrote me that her daughter came home full of “TR stories” after Joe’s visit with her class. I should also mention the depth and breadth of Joe’s Roosevelt scholarship. At the end of each class he asked the students whether they had any questions. No matter what the topic – from National Parks to Hawaiian annexation – Joe was able to answer as TR, giving details and quotes in his answers. It was very impressive.

Teddy Roosevelt comes to life to share stories of adventure, humor and insight. Builder of the Panama Canal, Trust Buster, Rough Rider, New York Governor, Assistant Secretary of the Navy, New York City Police Commissioner and Dakota cattle rancher.
The father of six, TR boxed Army officers and wrestled Sumo and Ju-Jitsu in the White House. His adventures in Africa and the Amazonian jungle of Brazil and his Bull Moose Progressive campaign in 1912, all after his own seven and a half years as President, testify to the vitality that was Theodore Roosevelt.

"So many of T.R.'s contemporaries testify to the way he entertained audiences with inspirational and humorous stories from his youth, his ranching days, Cuba and the Presidency. I really enjoy sharing T.R.'s funny stories of life in the White House with six kids and telling anecdotes from his many adventures, from bear hunts to the Panama Canal, from Africa to the Amazon. T.R. is so big and so exciting! Call me today, and we'll perform a great show for your group." - Joe Wiegand.
I would like to have a glass of water. Also, if your group is a charity or other good cause, I like to donate and auction a nice teddy bear for the good of the group.
