Put Beethoven, Paramore, Evanescence, and Linkin Park in a room together. The music they would produce is very similar to the kind of music I write. After being classically trained on piano for 9 years, I can't help but take my love for rock and rhythm and seep it into the piano songs I write. The genre that takes shape is one I can't quite put my finger on, but in my mind makes it no less beautiful. Singing with meaning and emotion is my passion in life. I find peace in music and I hope to spread that serenity to anyone who hears what I have to say and play!

To be put simply, I am a 17 year-old college student trying to make it in the only world I want to exist in: the music world. I grew up in St. Louis with my parents and three other siblings. Having been home-schooled with my siblings gave our family a sense of unity and faith that I'm really blessed to have. In addition, it gave us the time to focus greatly on our talents. And ours was music. I can say without a doubt it has been the most influential voice in my life. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 8, writing songs at 11, and tried to find every opportunity in my sheltered home-schooled career to get my voice out into the world. From making small recordings and sending it to friends, to Christmas caroling at the airport and grocery stores around St. Louis, and even going to nursing homes and standing in the middle of the hallway belting out Jingle Bells.
The home-schooled life had its rough patches, but I could not be more thankful for it because it gave me the chance to figure out who I was very early in life. Music took over my daily life, becoming not only a hobby and a passion, but a lifestyle. I worked very hard at my classes, finding time to join a few bands and try to fit in. But I never could. I always seemed to drift back into the corner, into my writing and into my head that was filled with music that yearned to come to life. I graduated high school early and started here at Missouri state as a sophomore. With the culture change and all the stress that comes with starting college life, I've kept my focus on what I want. And that is to be a performer, to continue my musical career, and to find other musicians who have similar dreams who can help me take what's in my head and turn it into beautiful sounds.
Music is my motivation for life. It's why I get up in the morning, it's why I strive hard in my classes no matter how relevant they are to music. It's why I try and fail and try and fail and somehow find the energy to try again. I'm determined to make this my life. I'm determined to have people listen to what I have to say and what I have to sing about. I really believe there is no failure; just regret from never going after what you want.
My main influence is Evanescence. Some of the rock sounds I incorporate into the piano music though have been inspired by bands like Linkin Park, Paramore, and Go Radio.
