Joshua and Candy Carpenter are the hearts behind The Band Wanted. The Band Wanted plays Original Country Music, (made famous by Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, George Jones and Dolly Parton), as well as current Country hits, classic rock favorites and some award winning originals of their own. Additionally, Candy and Joshua are loved for their smiles and their beautiful harmony, both on and off the stage. Joshua's unique style of piano playing is remarkably mesmerizing and is paired well with Candy's angelic voice.
The Band Wanted (Joshua and Candy Carpenter) are magnetic and likeable. Their music is fantastic and consistently relaxing. I’ve seen them several times and enjoy them every time. Besides being excellent musicians and vocalists they are simply wonderful humans! I highly recommend experiencing this group!

I met The Band Wanted in Tombstone, AZ right before Covid started, we became friends instantly. At the time I had not been to any of their shows yet, but let me tell you, they are a JOY to see, their energy is amazing, their harmonies are beautiful and they make you feel as part of the family. Now, don’t just take my word, come see one of their live shows, if you can, I guarantee you, you will leave smiling. There are many other platforms to listen to their music, or you can become a member of the TBW Outlaws, on Rodeo Monday they put on a show just for this particular group, members request the songs, so much fun!!! What are you waiting for!

“You Are My Kind Of Crazy” is the foundation on which The Band Wanted was built. It is also their first award winning song won with the World Songwriting Awards in 2020. Beginning their journey together as a band in Colorado in 2016. Joshua and Candy Carpenter are the hearts behind The Band Wanted, performing mostly country music. After a cancer diagnosis and a work related injury, they decided life was too short to build dreams for other people. They sold their home and belongings and closed their successful electrical contracting business and jumped into building their dreams with both feet; purchasing and renovating a tour bus and taking the show on the road. Influenced by Alison Kraus, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, The Dead South, CCR, and Journey, they bring a wide variety of music to every show; with “Rodeo Songs” that their dedicated Outlaws wait for. The vision for the band continues to grow with each show and through each audience member. Their dedicated and growing fanbase catapulted them into Atlanta, Georgia - winning yet another award with the International Singer Songwriters Association for Vocal Duo Of The Year in 2023. Throughout their career they have received several finalist and honorable mentions for their music including their songs “8 Seconds” and “Still Alive”. Joshua and Candy are loved for their harmonies both on and off the stage. Recently, the band has grown from the duo into a full five piece, covering popular country, classic rock and bluegrass music. Show attendees and fans leave each show feeling “Wanted". Described as, “not just a band, it's an experience”, sharing stories through music one song at a time!

Candy is inspired by some of country music's greatest woman in music such as Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Ashley McBryde and Alison Krauss. She is very eclectic in her musical influences that also include such rock and roll greats as Stevie Nicks, CCR and Pink.
Joshua grew up in the Gospel music industry looking up to such famous groups as Guy Penrod and The Gathers. However, his musical influences have grown to also include George Jones, Little Big Town, Willie Nelson and Cody Jinks
