Caleb Twidwell’s life reads like the plot of a gritty redemption film. A man who spent the majority of his life behind bars, Twidwell has managed to turn his life around in spectacular fashion, remaining clean and embracing his newfound freedom. Today, he’s not only a free man, but also a rising star in Shelton’s vibrant music scene.
Twidwell’s story took a dramatic turn when he was discovered busking in front of a local Dollar Tree. What makes his talent stand out is his rare ability to impersonate nearly any male vocalist—from country legends like George Jones to contemporary stars like Chris Stapleton. His powerful voice, however, is only part of his artistic arsenal. A gifted songwriter, Twidwell has penned over 50 original songs, each imbued with emotional depth and catchy hooks. His music, often performed by his band The Dirty White T-Shirt Boys, has captivated local audiences, with each track revealing layers of meaning beneath its surface.
The band's formation is a story in itself. Twidwell met drummer Dustyn Dalebout at a local open mic, and the two immediately clicked. Dalebout, a recent graduate with a Master’s Degree in business, had aspirations of entering the music industry but found himself behind the drums instead. Known for his impeccable timing and energetic fills, Dalebout has become an integral part of the band’s creative process, contributing to both songwriting and their rapidly accelerating success.
The Dirty White T-Shirt Boys officially formed in April 2024, and the duo wasted no time in taking their act on the road. In a bold, unplanned move, Twidwell and Dalebout embarked on a six-week tour down the West Coast to Carmel, California. The impromptu tour was a runaway success, cementing the band’s reputation as an up-and-coming force in the indie music scene.
The band’s recent recordings at the renowned Robert Lang Studios in Seattle—a studio famous for producing hits for some of the biggest names in music—signals that Twidwell’s trajectory is only going upward. With their unique backstory, undeniable talent, and rapidly growing fanbase, the Dirty White T-Shirt Boys seem poised for a major breakthrough.
The Dirty White T-Shirt Boys require a power source. Everything else will be provided by the band. They wear their classic white tees or can dress down for fancy occasions.
