The Dream Catchers

The Dream Catchers are a unique musical concept that was conceived by longtime Nashville music veteran, Larry Crew. It is a refined group specializing in the truly great songs of our time. The material covers styles including pop, rock, latin, swing, country, folk, and jazz. What began as a creative idea, found a life of it's own, that started with an intimate backyard concert for about fifty friends and neighbors. From the beginning, the response was overwhelming. And it became immediately clear that this music had the ability to captivate a broad audience, composed of multiple ages and backgrounds.

The band features classic adult contemporary and popular songs spanning several generations, appealing to listeners/dancers that appreciate excellence in lyrical and musical content. We can also cover a lot of up tempo dance standards that are in addition to our sample song listing. This is complimented by the individually talented band members, who are full time, versatile, highly experienced professionals. They are greatly respected in the Nashville music community, and have a history of excellence, recording/performing with some of the biggest names in show business, all over the world.

Along with numerous original arrangements, a sampling of the artists represented in the repertoire include Carole King, Norah Jones, Sting, Tracy Chapman, The Eagles, Dan Fogelberg, Herbie Hancock, and Eric Clapton, etc.. This is a perfect fit for private social functions, company parties, house concerts, corporate events, birthdays, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, reunions, wedding receptions, banquets, and fundraisers.

The band can also be configured as a single, duo, trio, or quartet based on client needs (please inquire).

Larry Crew, the leader of The Dream Catchers, was born and raised in Richmond, VA. Shortly after receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from James Madison University, he resettled in Nashville TN making it his permanent home. Over the years he has had a rewarding career, playing with many top artists on numerous recordings, concerts, and stage shows. He has also produced and released two musical collections, currently available on CDBaby, entitled "Heads and Hearts", and "A Crewation Christmas".

The Dream Catchers are available for "turn key" booking, where we provide all sound gear and set up/tear down. That way, you can be relieved of that responsibility and spend more time with your associates during the course of your event. We have a professional Yamaha sound system that is perfect for small to medium venues, and carry our own backline. It is also fine if you wish to provide a sound system, but we need to discuss specifics to make sure it is adequate, and of professional quality, before final approval.
