The Duane Carter Band is a Contemporary Jazz ensemble blending Funk, jazz, Latin, & fusion. This is a lively band that will not only have you patting your feet, but have you up dancing in the aisles. Looking for that soulful, funky sound, look no further. But know, if you need something a little more traditional, they can do that too!
If we ever have another jazz type event, we will certainly consider using The Duane Carter jazz band again.
This band went above and beyond! They arrived early, were professional and put on a wonderful show. We will definitely be booking again for our event next year! Thank you!

Duane Carter is a trumpet player, composer/arranger, playwright/writer in the Austin area. He was a member of the United States Army Band from (phone number hidden)1. He toured throughout South and Central America while serving as a principal trumpet player, soloist and arranger with the 79th Army Band, “SouthCOM Ambassadors”, stationed in the Republic of Panama. Duane was also a principal trumpet player, soloist, arranger, jazz combo leader, dance band leader and stage band leader with the prestigious 6th Army Band from the Presidio of San Fransisco. While in the Bay Area he lead his jazz quintet, Quintessence and 9 piece R & B band, Out of Control. Now he leads The Duane Carter Band, The DCQ, & Eclectro-Funk.
