The band is based on honoring the great blues artists who came before us. Harmonica driven dance blues and boogie tunes all night long!
I've seen the Jay Edward Band many times & have never been disappointed. The latest was one of the best.
These guys know their instruments & know the music. Playing this style is what they were meant to do.
This is the band to hear for those who are not aware that they like blues. They are not trying to be anybody else or imitate.
In an area where most bands tend to sound alike & play the same kind of songs this one stands out.
And they certainly get alot of people dancing.
I question how "adaptablity" applies,? Don't expect your favorite classic rock tunes.
Response from The Jay Edward Band:
Thanks so much!
The Jay Edward Band is a collection of some of the best musicians that you will ever hear. Their interpretations of blues classics are true to the greats who created these fantastic tunes. As a front man and harp player Jay energizes and engages the audience offering songs that you cannot help but want to get on the dance floor. Each member of the band is a true professional with a love for the blues and entertaining. Don't miss these guys......you will want to see them again and again.
The Jay Edward Band is AWESOME great musicianship, High energy Blues. Jay is one of the best harmonica players and singer in the blues community. When you see them for the first time you will be hooked, new comers will stop in and stay for the duration of the show. I would recommend this band for any type of event.

Gig Length: 120 - 220 minutes
The band specializes in roots and modern Blues type material. Our performances are high energy and diverse in our material. Never boring! Put your dancing shoes on for this band!
The Jay Edward Band is made up of current and ex-touring musicians. We are a 4 or 5 piece band (one or two guitars depending on the venue size. etc.) consisting of guitar/vocals, harmonica/vocals, guitar/vocals, drums and bass. We are prompt for every job and typically break a 3 or 4 hour gig into 3 sets. From traditional Chicago based blues to modern west coast style, we give our audience a variety of danceable songs throughout the length of the gig.
Featuring Rip Cat Records recording artist, Barry Levenson (The Late Show CD) on guitar, his world touring credits include Canned Heat among others. For over 25 years Barry has brought his great soulful styling's and experience to the stage. From his days a part of The Zola Moon Band, to Luke and the Locomotives, Barry also is heard on many movie and television sound tracks as well as other artists CD's heard today.
Joining Barry on bass guitar is Hollywood, Calif. born Rick Reed. Rick has been a professional musician his entire life. His early days allowed him the opportunity to begin a career with Paul Butterfield, Charlie Musselwhite, and Elvin Bishop. As time went by, Rick has toured the US and world with such greats as Kim Wilson (Fabulous Thunderbirds), William Clarke, Roy Gaines, and others. Rick is also part of multiple television tracks, most recently in a 2014 episode of CSI.
Completing this band's great rhythm section is TC Markle on drums. TC is a staple of greatness in the LA music scene for many years. He's worked with Barry in "The Lubricators" and has appeared on dozens of recordings over the years. TC has worked with Carrie Bell, Big Jay McNeely and Robert Lucas among others.
Garrett Deloian is a co-founding member of the band and previously has played guitar and sang as a touring musician throughout the U.S. and world. His inspirational musical direction is only a small part of his contributions as a songwriter, singer and recording artist. Originally from Denver, Garrett has recorded, performed and traveled for most of his life as a truly "gifted" artist.
Finally, front man Jay Edward who hails from the Midwest was initially a sideman for Chicago guitar hero Luther Allison. As a young player, Jay came west and found a different style of blues and musicians. In his pursuit of a true music career, LA proved to be a place full of venues and talented musicians. Founding many versions of "the nightcrawlers", recording success came in the 90's with radio play and a record deal. Traveling and touring for many years thereafter, Jay has opened for or played with such greats as Robben Ford, Delbert McClinton, and Buddy Guy among others.
Add it all up and you have a band made up of truly gifted, talented and experienced musicians who know how to please a crowd.
