The Jazz Phools

The Jazz Phools can vary our musical style based on your needs. I advertise our 3 main specialties as 20's/Gatsby/Prohibition, New Orleans/Mardi Gras, and Swing Dance. Yet many of our gigs provide classic jazz standards, bossa novas, etc. as a classy backdrop for an event. We also do events for ballroom dancers and they enjoy the variety of styles we can provide. We perform with 3 to 7 musicians depending on the theme and your needs. Some of the guys sing, but we can add a girl vocalist. We work in various clubs with a trio of keys, trombone and vocalist. We are able to perform "unplugged", either strolling or stationary. We can also lead a 2nd Line parade or procession. Some clients have us lead guests from the ceremony to the reception area. We can also perform from a float/golf cart/boat, etc. Or perform at an entrance as people arrive. We also do funerals. I'm am very careful to adjust our volume for the venue and circumstances.

We provide everything we need. We have various options for coordinated dress to fit the theme and your colors. I can do announcements and/or provide a wireless mic for your use. I generally develop break music based on you tastes, but I can also plug your device and play your playlist/special songs through my system.

I can provide professional dancers in costume to act as dance hosts, give a simple lesson or show off their skills for the 20's and also swing dance themes. For Mardi Gras, we can add a beautiful dancer/model in vibrant costumes to add to the festive atmosphere.

We provide our own PA system and lighting if needed. One normal outlet is sufficient for our power needs. I can provide a wireless mic for your use.
