Country, red dirt, with some blues and classic rock. They play casinos, parties, clubs, fairs, festivals and other venues. They have a good time and interact with the audience. These boys get to know the audience and play music they will enjoy. The band can play as a 3 piece with guitar, drums and bass; a 4 piece with keys; or a 5 piece with steel guitar, depending on the size of the venue.
The Jeff Tatum band can supply their own lighting, PA and stage equipment.
Not only is his guitar playing primo, he's got a great voice and a handsome personality. He's not too bad to look at neither.
Price Range: $450 and up
Gig Length: 120 - 240 minutes

Jeff Tatum, a Carthage, Missouri native, has many years experience in the entertainment business. He has gathered some of the best talent in the area to produce the Jeff Tatum Band. They offer country, red dirt, and a diverse selection of classic rock for your listening pleasure.
He started playing guitar in bands when he was 13 years old. Unfortunately there aren’t many witnesses. During those underage years they would sneak him in the back door, hide him in a dark corner, and whisk him out the back again. While living in Murfreesboro, Tennessee he met Alan McDonald and became one of the founding members of the Blind Farmers. They played their special brand of “Whompabilly” for college rowdies around Middle Tennessee State University and on the Blind Farm in Lascassas. Thank goodness cellphones weren’t prevalent especially at the all-nighter advertised as “Livestock.” Sometimes it’s just best not to have evidence. Although it might have provided some great advertisement for the beverage trucks that rolled in to quench the thirst of the crowd. As Blind Farmers they had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the Georgia Satellites, Guadalcanal Diary, RPM, Bill Lloyd, Radny Foster (Foster and Lloyd), and numerous others. They were set to sign a record deal however at the signing there was an unfortunate incident having to do with a drunken Farmer and someone’s shiny shoes. The contract hit the bottom of a trashcan before the Farmers could hit the pavement.
As happens with some, Jeff matured and formed his own band, Palomino Moon. They traveled the U.S. playing country music as the Coors Rodeo Band. Again, the beverage truck followed but having learned his lesson he quenched his thirst with sweet tea. When the tour was finished, Palomino Moon continued playing at all kinds of venues across the U.S.
Locally he has organized/booked shows and provided sound for Jason Bowman, Reckless Kelly, Stony Larue and many others. Recently he has been playing casinos and other venues in the Four State area with Johnny Williams’ band, Sassafras.
Now playing is the Jeff Tatum Band. It is newly organized but that does not mean wet behind the ears. Each member brings his own unique talent and years of experience. Depending on the size of the venue he offers a 5-piece, 4-piece or 3-piece band. Jeff has that earthy voice that fills the dance floor with energy. He has a knack for taking obscure music and making it dirty. Red Dirty.
