The Jovialities Entertainment Co., Ltd.

I am J. R. Simons. I hold a BFA and an MA in Theatre Arts from Kent State University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Ashland University. Since 1996, I have owned and managed The Jovialities Entertainment Co., Ltd., which performs live, interactive, improvisational murder mysteries. When you book a show with us, you will get 4 or 5 actors, depending on the size of your audience, who will perform a scripted improvisational murder mystery for your audience. We will perform scripted improvisational scenes interspersed with improvisational mingling for and with your audience. Our performances last approximately 90 minutes after which time one of the characters dies, and the audience is left with the task of figuring out whodunit. We bring all our own necessary props and costumes and provide you with guessing forms and pencils for your audience to figure out the solution.
