It was my husband’s 41st birthday and he wanted to see a magician. He’s a big fan of close up magic. I looked into going to a show in Boston but then realized I could hire someone to come to us. So I found Joe! He came to my house to perform for 6 of us. He was awesome. Very funny, kept it engaging, involved everyone in the tricks, some really blew our minds. We were very pleased. When I first started looking I noticed the prices ranged pretty significantly. I thought I might need to go with a more expensive magician to get better quality, but when Joe also offered a video of the night, I figured with all of his experience he must be good so I went with him who was very reasonably priced. I’m so glad I did. Like I said he was great, we laughed a lot, and his wife was there to take the video which is awesome. What a memory! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for some fun entertainment and great tricks. It was really cool.

I hired Joe though GigSalad for a backyard graduation party of about 50 folks of all ages. Joe was very professional and we spoke a number of times to adjust when he would start to ensure most of the folks would have arrived. Joe worked the area very thoroughly and made it a point to go up to groups of 2-8 to surprise them with card and coin tricks. Everyone I spoke with found Joe to be charismatic and amazed at what he did. Joe had a few followers by the end of the party who were very sad to see him go. It was worth every penny and I would not hesitate to give Joe a 5 star review and recommendation.

Most spectators have never seen a professional Magician in person. The difference from seeing something on TV, as opposed to , up close, in your hands is dramatic.
Typical reactions from groups are laughing, expletives, running away. In short, they are stunned at seeing something the "know" can't happen.
There are two ingredients which make for a successful performance. Technical skill is essential. It literally takes countless hours of practice to attain a professional level of expertise. One of magic's bigest secrets is you will not see the technical skills.
Just as important as technique is having a persona/charisma to interact with the many personalities attending an event. These two qualities will ensure an entertaining performance. (only one is insufficient.)
My clients expect a 5 star performance. I will go over every detail of an event to ensure that I am the "right fit" for your event. Again,please take a few minutes to see me perform for real people, in the real world.

The Magical entertainment is geared for adults, but be assured it is clean comedy, and no one is ever embarrassed. At events where children are in attendance, there is always some entertainment for them as well.

No equipment is necessary. When I perform, I don't even need a table. Quite often I use the spectators hands to assist in the Magic. I need a few sips of water, ( I talk a lot.) but I don't think that's a technical requirement.
One less thing for you to worry about. I arrive and entertain,... simple as that.

Influences & Inspiration
Magic is at a high point in popularity, and we are fortunate to see some of the best present day performers on TV through such popular programs as Penn and Teller Fool Us, and AGT. These magicians inspire, more than influence me. In fact I rarely if ever attend "magicians" lectures anymore. Precisely for the reason is to avoid influence or copying.
I have a wealth of material to choose from, and have sifted through countless "tricks" and have arrived at what I consider the most commercial effects in existence. I have spent the last ten years honing these effects to fit personality/style so that my audiences will not see from anyone else what is uniquely my individual presentation.
In short,I no longer chase trends, but follow my instincts and listen to my audiences to insure they receive the very best in close up magic entertainment.
