Marlin could be compared to Brad Paisely, Keith Urban or Zac Brown because like them, he plays a mean lead guitar and sings! Marlin has a voice that is very clean, clear, emotional and addictive! The band insists on putting on a good show so they are all very active yet still playing their instruments at a top notch level. Alot young bands will fool you with loud instruments, and gimics…. Not this one, MJB is THE REAL DEAL.
They will set up and start on time, finish when you need them to and always remember, although they are having fun… they are there to do a job!
Another great service is, if you have a "special" song request, MJB will learn it for you if within reason of course.
The Northwests #1 Country act, Marlin James has toured the world, had the oportunity to play music with major acts such as Jo Dee Messina, Ricky Skaggs, Merle Haggard, Phill Vassar, Confederate Railroad, Daryl Worely, Wade Hayes and more! He Moved back home to Seattle from Nashville in 2008 and re-started The Marlin James Band. MJB has been entertaining at corporate events, Weddings, Parties and some clubs around the Seattle area since. They are not afraid to travel either!
No matter where you're at, MJB will come to you! They play clubs and have clients literally all over the country so traveling is part of the business!
MJB will play your favorite songs from all the big Country stars of today! They are a 4-5 piece band (depending on your budget) Drums,Bass,Guitar,Keyboards and your choice of fiddle or steel guitar!
If needed, they can provide either a large sound system or a small sound system and lighting at no extra charge!
MJB carries top of the line gear and puts on a great sounding and entertaining show!
They also believe in long sets and short breaks, depending on your schedule, you will likely get a 90 minute set to a 15 minute break. All of this is adjustable if planned beforehand.

They only real requirement MJB has is sufficient electricity and enough space to do their job. They do not require to be fed but always enjoy a good meal and visiting with the crowd. Other details can be discussed later.
