The quartet played wrong notes throughout the ceremony, most specifically in the Bernstein (One Hand One Heart) that was requested. Worst of all, they let me walk down the aisle in total silence rather than repeat a section of the music they were given. It was absolutely embarrassing!
I am going to chalk this situation up to beginners inexperience, as I know they are musicians from a fine conservatory and are very good people to work with, on a personal level. I hope they are able to provide more satisfactory experience for others in the future.

Response from The Matisse String Quartet:
To whom it may concern,
We received the feedback from Kevin and Dan regarding our performance at their wedding, and we'd like to express our gratitude for their constructive comments. Rest assured, we'll treasure the memory of their wedding as a unique experience where our professionalism was tested to its limits.
We apologize for the experience of walking down the aisle in silence. We hope that the next wedding planners only contact with the group is not to place them in a location unseeable from the aisle. This would allow ensemble to make those decisions on the spot.
$125 per person for a two hour drive each way and a 90 minute ceremony, doesn’t seem proportional to chalk it up to “beginners inexperience”.
We'd like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kevin and Dan on their marriage. Their resilience in enduring our performance truly reflects their commitment to each other. We recommend that they continue seeking out performers who can meet their unique requirements without hesitation.
