The Matt Hays Band

We recently hired Matt Hayes for a second party in 6 months. They are an extremely talented and versatile group. We never received so many compliments for a band. They perform everything from rock to country with a great selection of songs.

Songs I want to hear, played with style and finesse. Not overpowering, but not lost in the ether. A perfect balance for a night out.

Note; New Years Eve event:
Have to say, it was an unexpectedly lovely NYE event at Harper’s, an always happening spot Tues-Sun, and while I technically stumbled in not knowing live music was happening that night, I was happily and jovially surprised by the melodies of the Matt Hays Band.
— I loved the simplicity of three members (Electric, Base, Drums), bare bones band show raw talent, and this band has it.
— The first thing I noticed was the band’s sound system is impressive. Both guitars are remote/cordless, and the drums are either well timbered or mic’s just right. (I did not get to investigate further, but) the sound quality was fantastic.
— Second, the guitar riffs. What a great band that really loves to play around with songs we all know with guitar, base and Drum solos as part of their performance. I absolutely loved hearing classics with fantastic and “above and beyond” solo moments that really brought the house down while still representing and respecting the classics.
While admittedly, I think there’s still some further synchronicity in closing their sets, I would highly recommend the Matt Hays Band for social events, and further make this band the greatness it can truly be, if not for their raw talent, but their incredible versatility for any and every kind of event.

Matt Hays is on the shortlist of great guitar players living in the tri-state area. He has fine skills and a personable nature. Seeing him live has always been an enjoyable experience for me. I definitely encourage everyone to check him out!
