The Melting Pot Band is an 8 piece R&B show band that specializes in classic, "old school", rhythm and blues from the 60s, 70s, and 80s! Pieces include: Drums, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar, Keyboard, Trumpet, Sax, and 2 Female Vocalists. We are unique due to our emphasis in making sure we do not use vulgar or derogatory lyrics in our music. Yet our melodies and rhythums will have you taping your feet and grooving the night away. The Melting Pot Band....at it again....stirring up excitement....causing spontaneous dance combustion. I was just there to support my brother on the keys, and they infected me with the "can't help it's" and I started jammin. Stay away from this band. They are armed and highly groovy with phunk. Be on the lookout. If you have any leads on their whereabouts use caution....DO NOT TIP them or else they play 3 times better and longer....and become more contagious
I throughly enjoyed myself last night. Talk about bringing back memories of where i when I first heard that song, or I remember who my boyfriend was when I heard that one and so on! The members of the band are so personable. The crisp and smooth sounds of the singers and musicians are phenomenal! Just sit back, close your eyes and groove, or get up on the floor and boogey oogey oogey till you just can't boogey no more! Looking forward to the next time!
I was impressed with the entertainment the melting pot band brought forth. The singers and the instrument players were great, The choices of music along with the performance was very satisfying and they brought lots of energy to the crowd.

When I first heard this band play it was "music to my ears". The atmosphere they set is exactly what Nashville need more of. Very tasteful sounds that everybody could enjoy! I heard songs that took me "back to the good ole days".The band members are a so laid back and I loved them so much I had to book them for my event. And I encourage you to check them out. Great mixture of R&B Hits!!,classics songs from a time when music was real!!! and had purpose-- to make the listener feel good and forget about the troubles of the world. The members are great down to earth people with a real passion for their craft. My wife and I really enjoyed the time spent listening to them perform it took us back to younger days, we encourage all of Nashville with a love of R&B to check them out because those Brothers and Sisters can SANG!!!!!!!
My friends and I enjoyed our evening of entertainment with The Melting Pot Band. It gave us an opportunity to sit back and reminisce when music was truly music! Every song took me back and helped me to remember what I was doing back in the 70s and 80s. We soon realized that you don't forget the words to the good songs. When Alwanda, William and Chelle told me about The Melting Pot Band, I was excited! I know the talent and passion of these three, but when I heard the entire band, I couldn't help but "bob my head". I grew up listening to music from the '70s and '80s, so I can relate to the music they play. I took my wife to one of their gigs back during the summer 2013 and we still talk about how much fun we had. If you love GREAT music played by artists that love what they do, go hear The Melting Pot Band anytime you have the opportunity!
It is a blessing and an honor to be part of a band that is professional, fun-loving, God-fearing with God-given talents. All bring something to the hot mix. And believe me, we are truly a family - 8 brothers and sisters. I love playing with my husband (William) and sister (Chelle). Each time we are together we become closer and each time we play makes us better performers. And the audiences we have had the pleasure of performing has ignited a flame in us that will burn for a very long time. I can honestly say that "we do have a mighty good time". Powerful, lovely voices from the female vocalists, and strong play from the men on the instruments is not a fluke; they truly have crafted a great sound. Their choices of songs is most impressive because they are songs that youth can listen along with the elder. Every person in the band is approachable. Every person smiles which is key to comfort. When disco came in and took a lot of our work away, we focused on raiseing our families. Most of us are empty nesters who have now come full circle back to our first love, music! Our passion and dedication to quality music and listener satisfaction is always our goal! We are professionals who take our work seriously! We will look good! Sound good! and have your clients wanting more! We arrive on time and start on time!
