As an educator, performer, and soloist, Nick Rose's expressive Guitar playing has entertained small, private gatherings as well as packed concert houses. His enthusiastic personality compliments a unique, finger-style approach to Guitar, allowing him to blend traditional repertoire with modern music genres such as: Jazz, Pop, Classical and Top-40.
Most recently Nick has performed and curated creative arts experiences with: Elementz Urban Arts, Music Resource Center--Cincinnati, Cincinnati Public Schools, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Madcap Puppet Theater, Pones Inc, The Know Theater, Concert Nova, Cincinnati Art Museum, Chiefdom Records and others.
I booked Nick to play for an hour at a popcorn party I was throwing for 50 guests. He showed up early for his set and all he needed from us was a chair and an outlet! Nick wowed the guests with beautiful acoustic covers of classics and current hits. I kept hearing how much everyone loved having him there. Not only was he great to listen to, but it was clear he genuinely loves what he does; he was so smiley and into his music. I absolutely plan to book Nick again for future events. I also found out that he runs an amazing non-profit (Band in a Bus).

Incredible guitarist with a tremendous personality to match. Nick is great. He is a very talented musician with a great selection of all types of music. He has wonderful interpersonal skills and was able to connect with our very diverse audience. We had children as young as 4 and adults as young as 66...lol...Nick was just a pleasure all the way around!

I have never used the gigsalad site before and was a little hesitant. I found it when trying to search for a musician for my wedding, but no one I know had ever heard of it. It turned out to be a great experience! Nick showed up early and was set up and ready in plenty of time. His music choices were excellent for the reception. Everyone was very impressed with him and people came up to me at the reception talking about what a perfect musician he was for this occasion. And my 8 and 10 year old talked his head off and he was very polite to them and it was so sweet. I would highly recommend him for any occasion, he was prompt, easy to work with on the website and in person, I couldn't have picked anyone better. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future!
I must say Nick Rose has mad chops. He has great note choices, emotes emotion, and has absolutely righteous playing. He doesn’t sound like a guy dabbling in a style for kicks. This sounds like a guy who knows what the hell hes doing. Yeah!
Nick did a wonderful job of playing an acoustic set during our son's rehearsal dinner. His music was the perfect back drop for a lovely evening. It was loud enough to hear and appreciate, but not overpowering for conversation. The guests really enjoyed his work.
As somebody whos had the fortune of playing with Nick a few times, I can say hes got an incredible feel, ridiculous guitar chops, and most of all he's so easy to get along with as a person and on the stage!
Whenever I need any type of live music for an event Nick Rose is the first and only person I call. We sit down together and I tell him exactly what genre, mood, and atmosphere I am looking for regarding my specific event. Every time he performs he flawlessly delivers. He can perform any genre you throw at him effortlessly. He can perform classic hits, today's top tracks, as well as up and coming hits. His instrumental versions of current top tracks are gorgeous as well as entertaining. He is the only performer I ever want. The show he puts on is immensely worth his price. Nick Rose is my top choice; he should be everyone's first choice.
Nick came into our office to perform as part of a fundraiser for the ArtsWave campaign. He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and very talented. He performed for about an hour which included a large variety of different genres of acoustic guitar playing. Some of the pieces he played were original compositions, fan favorites and classical/jazz. Overall between his charismatic personality and enjoyable performance, the entire office was impressed and entertained by Nick. We would highly recommend Nick for any type of live performance!
We contracted with Nick to play during our Sunday brunch... And his sets perfectly matched the atmosphere/ambiance presented to him.
He is surely capable of playing with less restraint, but he played to the space on which we found him.
I highly recommend Nick as he is highly, highly talented. He does what he does very well.
We used Nick for a small house party. He exceeded our expectations and all the guest enjoyed listening to him play all evening.
Nick has been doing some session work for me, in an 8 track analog studio & he has been nailing the sessions. I typically need him to play 3-4 minutes continuous through the track & he kills it. Never late, always delivers & plays in any style i need. Dealing with musicians on his caliber, makes sessions enjoyable & keeps me wanting to keep recording when he is miked up!!
Nick Rose was tremendous to have at our show! He is a very good musician and really helped draw people to the second floor for our food vendors. Nick is also very personable and professional at the same time!
