Tia has worked as an independent singer with many local bands and musicians in and outside of the Columbus area. Early in her singing career, she performed with Dark Star (R&B group), Unity, Columbus Jazz Arts Group, and Vocal Impact. Recently, she has performed at local venues such as the Columbus Jazz and Rib Fest, Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, Easton’s Sounds on the Town Concert, and restaurants such as the 94th Aero Squadron with the Rick Brunetto Big Band and Natalie’s Coal-Fired Pizza and Live Music. Tia’s repertoire includes singing popular standards and jazz (fusion, big band, and Brazilian).
Tia completed her first CD, Fly Away With Me, which features a variety of original music that she wrote. The CD is a collection of 14 songs that feature jazz, fusion, funk, and more; Fly Away With Me was released in Spring 2015.
