The Real Deal Duo consists of trumpeter Fredrick Weathersby and saxophonist Stefan Forbus. We provide high quality entertainment with minimal personnel and set up. Our performances are always interactive and memorable!
I connected with Stefan through GigSalad just 2 days before a 40 person 50th birthday event. He was very responsive and quite pleasant to deal with. He and Frederick really changed our night. They provided such great entertainment and really made the night for everyone. We actually made it highly interactive with people making some speeches, playing percussion instruments etcetera. I would definitely hire Stefan again

Expect a fun-filled, entertaining, experience from start to finish. Memories will be made as the elders reminisce on their first encounter with a hit song performed by the trumpet and saxophone, while the youngsters enjoy the auxiliary percussion demonstration. The duo will arrive at least two hours prior to the event and set-up their own audio equipment if not available through the venue, a life-sized banner as the backdrop for performance and photos, as well as party/elegant lights (upon request). Add a curated music playlist to be played through the audio speakers during set-up/break-down, entrance/exit of guests, and even a live DJ set before/after the event as needed by the client.
The dynamic duo met in the halls of the Tennessee State University Music Department under the direction of Dr. Mark Crawford and Dr. Reginald McDonald. The two began working together in 2014 and have since recorded their own collaborative record, horn arrangements for numerous artists, and performed on the global scale. From child birthday parties to cruise ships, Weathersby and Forbus have entertained thousands with their extensive repertoire, class, and attention to detail both musically and in presentation!
