Chris is very knowledgeable about many genres. Listening to him as a solo artist is very easy. He plays very well! I have listened to him play in many events where it was just him, him and one to three other people, and in big bands. Again, he knows his way around the bass.
Chris is very good at taking in his surroundings and playing accordingly. If you need him at a wedding reception he knows how to play soft enough with the appropriate kinds of music. He also knows how to play with rock, jazz, funk, and other types of bands and is not afraid to take a solo on the spot!
Overall, Chris is one of the most talented bassists that I have ever heard in my life! He is very kind and accommodating too!
