Whether your event is in need of instrumental Classical and Jazz Guitar for a Ceremony or Cocktail Hour, or you are looking for fun Acoustic Guitar and Piano party music, Tommy's massive song list has something for everyone. His eclectic taste in music and unique musical ability has inspired him to reimagine and rearrange classic hits that will have everyone singing along. Once the crowd gets going, Tommy can then switch into DJ mode and pack the dance floor! Tommy's professionalism, great attitude, huge repertoire, spectacular sound and lighting will make your event one to remember! Individual services as well as packages available.

I hired Tom to DJ at my house for an event and I'm so glad I did. Tom had great taste in music, including reading the room and shifting in the direction of the crowd. Everyone had the best time and kept saying how good the DJ was and how much fun they were having.

I was a little worried about booking talent online, but... Tommy was so easy to work with - he showed up on time, set up without any fuss, and then delivered a crowd-pleasing performance. We had so many guests comment on how much they enjoyed his performance and the amazing range of his playlist. There were a lot of moving parts for my husband's big birthday and Tommy totally over-delivered! Thank you Tommy for being an integral part of an amazing evening.

As a Talent Buyer for Belly Up Entertainment, I worked with Tommy for over 7 years booking him for dates in our 600 capacity venue as well as upscale resorts, private parties and events in San Diego county. Tommy played the guitar and ukulele and customized a favorite song for our wedding processional music and it was beyond amazing! It was unique and so professionally done. He also played jazz guitar for our cocktail hour where we got many, many compliments on how great and versatile he was. He even played my husband's favorite request, "Spotieotedopalicious," and it was a hit (per usual)! I cannot recommend him enough. He has a such a fun and welcoming personality and is so very talented!

What to Expect
For a larger event:
- Email correspondence to get a clear view of the event: times, load in/out, overall arc, other important specifics
-Arrive at designated time, unload and find whomever my contact is
- Set up, clear cases, and get dressed
- Guests start to arrive to either instrumental guitar or piano
- (Wedding)- play processional song and whatever other pieces were discussed, recessional song
- Cocktail hour either in an additional space or in the main space
- Acoustic or pre-recorded music for dinner
- Announcements/Speeches (I am happy to MC)
- More upbeat acoustic music or DJ set
- Various wedding activities (bouquet/toasts/cake etc)
- Usually DJ by this time but some still like live music
- Wrap up and load out
About
Multi-Instrumentalist Tommy Mitchell is a Maryland native with a very eclectic musical ear. After graduation with a Bachelors in Music from Bucknell University, Tommy took his musical journey from Philly to San Diego to Florida and back to the DC area where he lives with wife Christine, daughter Catherine and dog Pico. Tommy's fun, party pleasing show consists mostly of classic rock and pop songs, often reimagined and rearranged using effects and a looper. This layering of multiple instruments (Guitar, Keys, Sax, Percussion, and of course vocals) not only gives the songs a full sound, but also allows for some fun interpretations. Tommy likes to work with the host of the party and read the room to bring just the right vibe. His large repertoire and superb musical ability allows for both quiet, intimate settings to dance floor blowouts. Packages for cocktail hours plus full party/DJ sets are available. Prepare for a great time!!!
