We hired the Traveling Harpist for my 270-unit-senior-property holiday party last December, and she was a hit! The perfect ambiance for the party! Nice, melodic background music while my residents got to enjoy their friends and food. We will definitely be having her back!
Evelyn was wonderful and fantastic, we all loved her music!
The traveling harpist (Evelyn) is professional, talented, and accommodating. A joy to deal with and listen too. Anyone looking for a harpist would be so pleased with her!
I cannot begin to explain how wonderful it was to have Evelyn the Traveling Harpist play at our wedding! Not only is she such a delight to work with but her talent is undeniable! She even let us pick songs that we wanted her to play! Her professionalism only comes second to her skills as a harpist! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to add some class and beauty to their event! I hope to have the opportunity to have her play again in the future!

Music is my passion and harp, my outlet for creativity and emotion. I revel adventuring into new ideas, new music, and new techniques that create fusion between an ancient art and the modern world.
I was six when I first began learning how to make music on a miniature organ that had been passed down to my mother. My little legs couldn't quite reach the pedals, and the keys held my attention for only 10 to 15 minutes at a time. At age seven I began to study the harp, a time consuming endeavor that involved driving an hours to and from my lessons every week. There were times when being a magician, a ballerina, or a spy seemed vastly more entertaining than practicing for hours on end, but it never occurred to me to stop playing music. It was and is today, how I think, how I express, how I create. It was the beginnings of a love affair that enveloped and directed my life.
As a performer I endeavor to create a unique and personal experience for every person. I don't want to pull out my gig book and play the same thing at every event. Instead, I want to create an atmosphere that compliments the setting, and love to arrange and learn new music to do (link hidden) love of travel has allowed me to incorporate music from the different countries I visit into my repertoire.
From someone who never thought about teaching, it is amazing how this has grown into one of my greatest loves. It is an amazing experience to not just teach the fundamentals of music: theory, history, and technique, but to also give my students a love of learning and of music. Teaching students of various ages has taught me that no student learns the same way, and often they change the way they learn from week to week. I try my best to discover the best way to connect to my students in order for them to not only be the best musician they can be, but also to be the best person they can be.
