While I have performed many genres of music and adapt to the style of the show, I am most often hired to provide a passionate performance and to set a romantic, inviting mood.
Janice Gisele Muller - musician, composer, actress - has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Miami. As a violinist, Muller performs for private events, theater, and film presenting everything from classical violin works to wild and lush effects-driven arrangements of hip-hop, country, and gospel. She has also composed music for film including work on the award-winning score of short “The Sweetest Girl.”
Muller has also been described as a "nightingale" and an "intriguing and expressive actor. Her work as an actress comprises film, tv, commercial, and theater credits. She is passionate about creative exploration and hopes to have ignited that passion in others as a music teaching assistant and private instructor. Previous professional work is comprised of years of project management, publishing, writing, editing, and graphic design for government and non-profit organizations.
A covered location is ideal but not mandatory. However, performance cannot proceed in rain without cover. A space with light suitable for reading is also ideal but not mandatory. I do not stroll.
My setup is relatively compact. For an acoustic performance in a small venue I only need room for myself and a music stand (appropriate for venues such as churches with a naturally lively sound, intimate dinners, small weddings, small galleries, quiet environments or anywhere you would like music to be unobtrusive, or to simply float in the air).
For larger venues, noisy spaces, or when you'd like the music to fill the room, sound reinforcement may be needed. In this case, I can bring my own amplifier/speaker. My system is wireless, so the speaker and I can be separated from one another without any cables between us. (Note, I typically bring cables as a backup option in case there is too much interference for reliable wireless connections.) My speaker is battery operated but it's ideal to have access to a power outlet especially for long events. I can also plug into the DJ or house sound system provided there are appropriate jacks available.
