As The Father of The Bride one of my assignments was organizing a Piper to be present for our McIntosh wedding. I made initial contact with a selected piper, Steve, who was extremely pleasant and accommodating with suggestions and tips etc. I delegated further contact to be between my daughter and Steve, which went off without a hitch.
The day of the wedding is always a little chaotic, but Steve quietly appeared at the venue on time, actually a little early, which was a prudent idea. The piping was perfect in tone, volume and tune selection and Steve could not have been more personable if he had tried.
I will be seeking his services out for future "Piping Required" events and would recommend anybody contemplating a Piper for whatever reason do the same .... you will not regret it!

Steve arrived on time and played as guests arrived over a two hour period. Then he piped in the guests of honour, my wife and I, for our 50th anniversary. We even danced the Gay Gordon. Steve added greatly to very festive afternoon.

We had the very best day. Ceremony overlooking the dundas escarpment was so special. Wagon ride back to venue, fun! Delicious dinner served! Then…wait for it…dessert, farm fresh pies to be served. What’s that sound? Why it’s the entrance of the bagpiper bringing in the pies. As Steve Turner weaved his way around the tables playing his bagpipes with a bridesmaid behind him holding up a pie, the cheers, the tears, the laughter, the clapping, it was the most soul stirring, still talked about moment of our spectacular day. Steve Turner became our “Pied Piper for the day”! Steve then continuing playing as our guests headed to the dessert table, the music continued!!So…would we recommend Steve Turner, the Wedding Piper? Only if you want to have such a spectacular moment that your family, friends and guests will cherish and laugh and cry about for years to come!

Steve was brought in to be the piper at our outdoor, mid-November wedding and we were very happy with his performance. The temperature was 100% a factor to the point that his reeds were freezing up but Steve still made the most of it and made it happen during the ceremony, not to mention the job well done piping everyone into the venue. We were so happy to have the pipes playing at our wedding and Steve was professional, talented and a great choice. He was done up to the nines in his kilt as well I might add. Would definitely recommend Steve for your bagpiping needs!

We hired Steve Turner to play at our informal graveside urn interment service for our mom. There were only 11 of us so it was quite an intimate gathering. Regardless, Steve did a good job supporting all our efforts to both mourn and celebrate our loss in a very sensitive way. He helped us to choose the music, provided an accompaniment for a dance, played well and, finally, went above and beyond with an impromptu final piece, Highland Cathedral. We highly recommend him.
