The Tim Wolfe Group plays favorite jazz standards in the style of the jazz greats. The core of the group is available in a variety of instrumentations, depending upon the clients' needs. We have performed as a duo of upright bass and guitar; as a trio of upright bass, vibraphone (or guitar), and female vocals; and as large as a six-piece group with tenor saxophone and drums. Having played extensively throughout the greater Philadelphia area, Central PA, and Southern NJ, we are as equally comfortable playing background music for your cocktail party as we are playing a staged concert for a large audience.

The Tim Wolfe Group is led by bassist Tim Wolfe who keeps a busy performance schedule as both a leader and side-man throughout Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Lancaster, York, and Reading. The size of the group varies from engagement to engagement and includes guitarist Matt Wolfe, vibraphonist Adam Pfannenstiel, saxophonist Thomas Razler, trumpeter AJ Myers, and the wonderful vocalist Amanda Noce. All of the members are individually top-notch musicians, and when they come together for performance, their output is greater than the sum of the parts.
Depending upon the event, we can be self-contained, needing only access to a power outlet. However, for concert settings, a PA and sound technician will need to accompany the group. This can either be provided by the venue, or the group can hire an outside sound technician and rent a PA. Details will be worked out on a per-client basis, and stated in the contract.
