I booked Tom to play and surprise my Mom for her 75th Birthday. As with the rest of the world going through quarantine and isolation due to Covid 19, I needed to brainstorm something for my Mom to make her milestone quarantine Birthday extra special and one to remember for always.
Tom played in front of my Mom's house, in the garden with Mom sitting on the porch. It was her own mini personal concert. It was a last minute idea to book a bagpiper. Booking Tom and having him play for my Mom was the greatest Birthday present! Days later, she is STILL talking about her wonderful day.
Tom started playing from across the street and marched up to the house in traditional kilt, playing Scotland the Brave. We were so moved by his entire performance that we were in tears.
We so enjoyed not only the beautiful music Tom produced, but we also enjoyed meeting Tom. He spoke in between playing giving us some history of the bagpipes, kilts and his experience as a Bagpiper.
This was such a beautiful experience that we will book Tom again just to hear him play for us, just because!
