Thank you! It was a pleasure to play for you!
Amazing guitarist and perfect for any event! Tom played at our wedding ceremony and was incredible. Our guests raved about his performance and we couldn’t be more happy with his professionalism throughout the entire process leading up to our big day. We’ve since seen him perform in many other settings and he always impresses while tailoring his music to different audiences. Truly a top level talent and I don’t hesitate to recommend Tom for any event.
Tom Torrisi is a pleasure to work with. He is easy going and dependable. His music was the perfect backdrop to our family celebration last year. I highly recommend Tom for any special event you are planning. You will not be disappointed!
Tom played for our wedding ceremony and was amazing. He provided music while the guests filed in and waited as well as throughout the ceremony. His music was absolutely beautiful and I was thrilled with his classical renditions of some of our favorite songs. He also did all of this on top of a mountain where we held our ceremony! Tom was very professional and pleasant to work with throughout the process. I highly recommend him!
Tom played classical guitar music for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We were blown away by his talent and the arrangements he was able to create of our favorite songs. So many of our wedding guests commented about how beautiful Tom’s music was. Top notch performer! Highly recommend for any event!

Tom Torrisi is a classical guitarist, composer, and arranger from Clifton Park, NY. Active as both soloist and chamber musician, Tom has been heard performing throughout the United States and in the UK and has been featured on WXXI, WRUR, and BBC radio. He has received top honors in numerous competitions including the APSU Concerto Competition (2013), the Memphis University International Guitar Competition (2014) and the Southern Guitar Festival Competition in Columbia, SC (2014). Tom has studied with world-renowned teachers Nicholas Goluses, Stanley Yates, Douglas Rubio, and Lynn McGrath and has earned his Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music with an Advance Certificate in Ethnomusicology.
While studying at Eastman, Tom developed an interest in the unique challenges and eclectic sounds of contemporary classical music. While making an effort to include music of living composers of his concert programs, Tom regularly collaborates with composers to create new works and expand the repertoire of the classical guitar. He has premiered pieces by Rachel DeVore Fogarty, Gerald Garcia, Evan Henry, Arthur Keegan-Bole, Timothy Lee Miller, Robert Morris, and Zack Pentecost, and has given performances at the Mostly Modern Festival and the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. From 2016 – 2017 Tom served as Outreach Coordinator for OSSIA New Music, organizing performances and educational presentations of new music for the general public to enjoy. In recent years Tom has developed a passion for composing and often performs original works in his concert programs. His pieces have been performed by Duo Purla, and Trio Ghidorah and have been featured at the 21st Century Guitar Conference.
In addition to the guitar, Tom is a passionate explorer of non-Western musical styles. This interest has led Tom to extensive involvement with Eastman School of Music’s Balinese gamelan ensembles Gamelan Sanjiwani (gong kebyar) and Gamelan Lila Muni (angklung), as well as Nusantara Arts’ Javanese Gamelan Sari Raras Irama. As teaching assistant to I Nyoman Suadin, and board member of the Eastman Diversity Committee he has organized and performed concerts and presentations at public schools in order to introduce more people to gamelan.
