TONEWALL is the super awesome queer a cappella band of the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus. In this COVID world, we're currently only performing virtually--nothing in-person at this time. High-quality, tight a cappella singing of contemporary and classic popular music. We're young and energetic, while very professional and well-spoken. We interact with your audience to excite and entertain plus our foundations in social equality make us a great partner for progressive events.
TONEWALL is the premier pop a cappella band of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. Much like Pentatonix or groups seen in the movie Pitch Perfect, TNWL provides high-quality entertainment PLUS we have a strong foundation in social equality and personal authenticity.
We have appeared at multiple private and high profile events including: Opening for Karmin at NYC Pride Rally, the Fire Department of NYC's first ever pride event, pre-show at Madison Square Garden, pro-performance at SingStrongNYC, and the off-Broadway cast of That Golden Girls Show.
There are up-to 10 singers and one vocal percussionist.
- MICS: We perform with individual mics. We can use a system you provide or bring our own at no additional cost. On occasion a space is ambient enough that mics are not needed.
- STAGE: We can perform most anywhere that 11 people can fit!
- GREEN ROOM: A backstage space is required for the group to prepare for the performance and to keep personal items while on-stage.
Other than that, we're very flexible and fun to work with!
Set list is seasonal and subject to change. Open to requests though usually incurs an extra fee for arranging and licensing.
