Tony DiBianca and his Virtual Band
- Sarasota, FL
- One Man Band
- Travels up to 0.8 hours
- $225.00 and up
Overview
Looking for music? Whether an association clubhouse, country club dinner dance, or a private party, it’s my desire to provide entertainment making your event a success. My performance sounds like a full band but it’s today’s “Hi-Tech one man band” -A full sounding mix of live music and vocals with custom backing tracks
Unlike alternatives, I don't download internet tracks and watch them play like a DJ does. I play music & interact with the audience. As for a band, my act is more affordable yet sounds like the real thing. I look forward to discuss how I can best meet your expectations.
I began in N.Y. went thru N.C. and Now Florida. I toured N.Y. with the USO, and Europe with Peter Buhr group

Accordion Player
Tony — was absolutely great. Quickly determined the tenor of the room and matched his music accordingly. Some guests who had used other accordion players at their various events before, commented that he was far superior. We couldn’t have been more pleased. thank you Tony.

Mr DiBianca is a highly professional, excellent entertainer. He set up and performed at a fairly large house party and kept a crowd of people entertained and happy. He was on time, easy to work with and obviously enjoys his profession. We will hire him again.

Response from Tony DiBianca and his Virtual Band:
This was a part of the entertainment at an annual fund raiser for the Ringling School of The Arts. An enjoyable gig to play!
I booked Tony to play as a celebratory dinner for my dad when he finished his radiation treatments. My parents were so happy & he provided them with such a wonderful time. Thanks Tony!

About
My music life began in New York when I started playing professionally at 15. My experience includes playing all types of band jobs from singles to house parties, restaurants, night clubs, country clubs and yacht clubs to large formal dances. I also toured NY & NJ with the USO, and Europe with Peter Buhr jazz/swing group for 4 years.
While I started in New York, my playing continued when I moved to North Carolina then moving to Florida in 1995. My trio played country club, yacht, dance club and other venues from Bradenton to Naples.
My extensive music library includes jazz standards, light rock, pop, blues, and love songs from my 250+ tracks.
My recording experience includes a “45” with guitarist/vocalist Don Roberts, a CD with vocalist Tina Lovings, a CD with Saxophonist Jim Calabrese, a CD with saxophonist Ray Vitale, and a CD of one of our Europe concerts with clarinetist Peter Buhr.
Details . . . . . .
No, I'm not now or have I ever been "famous" and never plan to be. I'm just blessed to have played with many fine musicians and was successful in organizing some really good groups.
Florida - Upon arriving in Sarasota, along with playing as a single, I assembled a trio with drummer Richie Calitro and saxophonist Ray Vitale. I recorded two CD's with the trio featuring Ray Vitale, one early on and one twelve years later. While playing country clubs and yacht clubs from Tampa to Naples the opportunity was extended to play four annual jazz tours in Europe with Peter Buhr. One of the concerts was recorded and is available in Germany. Peters group also recorded a CD for each tour.
North Carolina - I played as a single up to a quartet. The quartet included fine musicians including trumpeter Chick Shelton, Drummer and vocalist Jerry Funnicello and saxophonists Dave Bragg and Jim Calabrese. Jim was "first call" for bands traveling through the state. International recording artist trumpeter Tom Browne occasionally played with the group. I recorded two CDs with Jim Calabrese and one as a sideman with vocalist Tina Lovings.
New York - Starting out at fifteen I organized a band playing local school dances and social club parties. At sixteen we joined a USO troupe stationed at Fort Wadsworth which broadened our experience performing in New Jersey and New York City. We were fortunate to have talented musicians in the group such as Tony Sotos who went on to play and record with name bands. Later I joined the Don Roberts group playing in Manhattan, New Jersey and Staten Island. Here again wonderful musicians like saxophonist Frank Pisano and drummer Arnie Kinsella who went on to play seventeen years with Garrison Keller on Prarie Home Companion, and played many Broadway shows.

Set List
My set list varies depending on the occasion. For example a dance will have different music than an anniversary party. We will discuss what music you expect and I will customize the list based on your requirements.
Setup Requirements
My equipment is based on the size of the crowd. From needing just an electrical outlet for a single amp to my powered JBL raised speakers
