We hired Ariel with Top Shelf Tipsy to bartend at the Diversify Dietetics’ 2nd Annual #DDMeetup Fundraiser in Philadelphia, an event affiliated with the 2019 Food & Nutrition Conference and Expo. Ariel was responsive and professional with our inquiries and event planning. He was more than helpful with figuring out everything we'd need, things to consider and helping us get it all put together. He even referred us to a wonderful photographer that he partners with. She did a fantastic job for our event. During the event, Ariel and his staff were efficient and friendly with our guests. People moved through the lines quickly. (Not easy at a more than 150 guest list.) Service was excellent, and we were pleased with the choice we made to hire Top Shelf Tipsy and his photographer partner! I highly recommend Top Shelf Tipsy, Ariel and his team.
Ariel, the coordinator, was absolutely amazing. Very easy to work with, and super helpful with shopping lists and menu curation.
However, I was thoroughly unimpressed with Charmaine, the "seasoned" bartender sent for our event. She was annoyed from the start with our set up and questions. While she did make drinks, she spilled a significant amount of wine and mixed drinks all over the floor, area rug, and back wall of our kitchen, and guests had to help her clean it up. Many guests commented after the party that the bartender seemed "weird" and messy, and that people were not getting as many drinks as they normally would.
The most disturbing part of the night was the Charmaine put out a tip jar after I helped her set up (perhaps she thought I wouldn't notice). I SPECIFICALLY did not click "tip jar" on the interest form, which resulted in a slightly higher booking price. This was a nice party for a 60th birthday, including coworkers and family. It was low-brow and skeevy to put out a tip jar at a small, close-knit party, and something I explicitly did not authorize.
The price of the contract was relatively cheap compared to other options, so I guess that's what you get!
I would not recommend.

This is the third year we have used Top Shelf Tipsy for our holiday party. I love the holiday drink menu Ariel creates and the onsite bartender (Taryn) is the best! She takes care of everything so I can focus on enjoying my party.
Ariel and his team did a great job for our Christmas party. They kept the line moving, everything was tidy, and had great service all around. Exactly what we were looking for! Highly recommend them!
The bartender was very professional and on time. She worked hard and made sure no one waited for drinks. We received many compliments for her.

Used Top Shelf Tipsy for my wedding and they were fantastic! We forgot lemons for our Signature cocktail and the bartender ran out and got some for us! They made sure everything ran smoothly and easily, I would use them again anytime!

Ariel was professional, pleasant and engaging. He arrived early to set up and once working everyone enjoyed his presence. Our party was in our home and I would recommend him to anyone doing the same type of party.
Setup for the party super quick and was very accommodating. Guests loved having someone there to make the drinks - kids felt super cool and adults appreciated the service. Would use this service again in a heartbeat! Thank you!!!
Unfortunately, not very good service and did not provide item that was on the contract. Ran out of ice very early on in the reception. My guests had to purchase some things to make the night run smoothly.
The service was spectacular. They worked hard the whole time and then cleaned up at the end. They made an extraordinary effort to get there even though they were lost because I gave them poor directions. I cannot thank them enough
5 stars is not enough. He arrived on time, poured some killer drinks, was great with communication leading up to the event and was a hit with the guests.
He was in uniform, showed up on time and made my guest feel very comfortable. I'll definitely book him again.
Allowed us to enjoy our event with no worries - was very professional.

We were told the bartender would be there 30 min prior to set up and showed up 5 min for the event. She then decided that she thought it was acceptable to put a bright pink bucket up with marker written on it that said TIPS. That was embarrassing to say the least as this was a party where guests were invited to our home. We told her we would tip more than was necessary to take the bucket down. The bar tender did not have knowledge of drinks that some of the guests were asking for. When her time was up she left immediately and left the bar a mess which would be an understatement and decided to have a glass of champagne or two on the way out as well. We have used companies off this site before and had great results, this was a horror story to say the least. There is more to list but not enough room.

Once again the staffing from Top Shelf Tipsy did a great job for an event we had. The girls were friendly, professional and ran things smoothly for our event. They also completely cleaned up and organized their workspace afterwards. We would hire them again for our next event.
Service was great
We are a luxury store in the King of Prussia mall, we hired 3 members of Top Shelf Tipsy to do our event and they were great! The team was on time, professional, friendly and very easy to work with. They made signature cocktails we requested and were great interacting with our clientele in the store. They cleaned along the way and at the very end made sure everything was completed. We would hire them again for our next event!

Ariel from Top Shelf Tipsy was a very professional bartender for our party of 30 people. He contacted us prior to the event to inquire of any drink requests we may have. Ariel is a wonderful bartender. I hired him for my wife's 30th birthday, a cocktail party with 20-30 people. He worked with us beforehand to prepare the drinks menu we wanted. On the day of the event he showed up early, dressed professionally, and set up everything nicely. His drinks were well-made and delicious. Ariel is also a really nice guy and was very friendly to all guests! I will definitely use him again for our next event.

Ariel bartended for my wedding and reception in August 2015. Before the event, he was available by phone and email to answer questions that I had about alcohol and mixers. He came up with a great, personalized menu that our guests loved. Although he was late for the event, he stayed later to make up for it. While bartending, he demonstrated professionalism and knowledge. I would hire him again.
