Motivational speaker with experience on the front lines of the Transgender rights movement in Nova Scotia and Canada. Interesting and inspiring discussions about the intersections of gender and race, as well as gender and social status.
Years of experience training healthcare professionals and educators on the realities of gender versus the social construct of gender.
Want a workshop on self publishing or memoir writing? Had a very positive experience self publishing a memoir in June 2015 and would love to share with others how much value LGBT stories have in changing prevailing opinions.

Keynote/Motivational Speaker/Social Justice seminar - Honest and to the point, I share my experiences dealing with systemic discrimination and the Human Rights Commission to resolve the issue. There's a lot to learn from doing something for the benefit of the community rather than oneself and a lot I can share with others.
Jesiah MacDonald is a young man from rural Nova Scotia. He started his physical gender transition in 2008 with hormone replacement therapy. After being forcibly ejected from a hospital following a non-transition related surgery, Jesiah filed a Human Rights complaint that provided great traction for the transgender rights movement in Nova Scotia. Recognized by Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project in 2012 with the Raymond Taavel Media award, he has led over a dozen half day workshops throughout the province.
Jesiah's recently written a memoir to help inspire others who don't conform to society's standards to stand up for themselves unapologetically.
