We had Trent for my mom's 70th birthday celebration and it was a total consensus that he was amazing! On first impression he was easy-going, personable and very friendly. When he began playing he immediately set the tone with some of my mom's favorites and made it clear that he was totally open to requests. We had so much fun shouting out random songs and he happened to know every single one of them! It was pretty amazing. His voice is so so good and he has a very non-threatening demeanor that makes you want to sing and dance along. And you can't argue that his looks and style are pretty darn cute...the girls in your crowd will definitely be impressed! Trent was a great addition to our party. We wanted live music on our patio for our guests who were touring our newly renovated property. Trent put on a great performance and made the ambiance exactly what we wanted. He is such a talented musician and I recommend him for all of your private party needs.
Trent is so talented. He turned a graduation dinner into a graduation celebration. He knew what type of music we wanted and then totally delivered.
The biggest question of the night was "where did you find this guy!". All of the guests loved Trent, commenting about his great voice and the range of music he plays. He even had the crowd singing along during several songs and capped off the night with Bohemian Rhapsody! His song list is great, he was on time (actually early) and he only took one break in 3.5 hours. One of the guests liked him so well he wanted to pay him to stay longer. Obviously we would hire Trent again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Trent just played my opening night reception here in San Diego. I wanted light music with a laid back feel. Trent was the perfect addition to my "surf theme" reception for 450 attendees. He was also a pleasaure to deal with from the intial contact, contract, etc. He was very prompt in all correpsondance. And of course, he sounded great and played all requets that we had! I highly recommend Trent Hancock!

I first heard Trent play at at private party. My friends and I kept talking about how awesome of a singer he was. My siblings and I were planning a surprise party for my dad and I thought Trent would be perfect!
I was a little nervous about what he would play being that the guests would be in their 50s and 60s. EVERYONE LOVED HIM! He was able to accommodate the guests with a variety of songs that they all thoroughly enjoyed. My dad was probably the most excited about him and thought he was great! He wants him at all future parties.

We had an intimate, catered dinner party in our home in La Jolla and hired Trent to play music. What an AMAZING find! Having Trent play for us was the best decision we made! Trent far exceeded our expectation. We organized a party for 20 some high school seniors at our house. Trent was able to digiest a rather awkward list of requests all evening. He truly is a cultured man who has mastered skill of communicating with the audience. I hope all goes well with his next album.
We had the best time! I hired Trent for an open house party and he could not have been more professional. He arrived early, set up quickly and started doing what he does best. After about 45 minutes I realized that I could not have picked a better playlist for my event. It was as if he got a hold of my iPod. His voice is fabulous and even as my guests tested him with requests, he nailed each and every one. It’s not uncommon for indie artists to cite The Beatles as primary musical influences--but singer/songwriter Trent Hancock, currently breaking nationally with his solo debut EP Ghostbird, weaves the Fab Four into his back story in several unique ways. Though hailing from thAe west coast, Hancock’s other inspiration for the Ghostbird EP comes from relocating to the raw streets of Brooklyn. The singer was so impressed and inspired from touring in New York City last year that he took the plunge and embarked on a cross-country drive. Hancock began immersing himself into the city’s open mic showcase scene, and on one particular night, he included the dark-themed Beatles’ tune “Happiness Is A Warm Gun” into his acoustic set – only to realize that, unlike in San Diego where everyone wants to hear cover bands, NYC crowds frown on the practice. The crowd’s desire to hear original material inspired Hancock to develop some new songs with a mainstream pop/rock sound, which he would eventually release on the new Ghostbird EP.
Hancock’s love for the Beatles, NYC, and his new material would served him well a few months later after moving to Brooklyn, when he impressed Los Angeles’ producers Mikal Blue (Colbie Caillat, Five For Fighting and OneRepublic) and his partner Andrew Williams (Hope, Angel Taylor, Colbie Caillat and Five For Fighting) with his new music vision. The two producers immediately asked Hancock to fly L.A. to work the singer’s new project. He was excited for the opportunity to work with Williams and Blue, who helmed Colbie Caillait’s double platinum debut Coco.
Hancock has come a long way from his post college days in cover bands in San Diego and his once successful electronic rock duo (also called Ghostbird), along with drummer Mike Cooper. Though Hancock is now turned on to another musical genres and is taking on the solo career by storm, the duo’s name lives on as the title of his current EP. His new EP also secured Hancock to tour in July and August across the U.S. with renowned acoustic soul singer/songwriters Ernie Halter and Tony Lucca, and recently picked up endorsements by Gibson Guitars and Sennheiser USA.
