I have been a professional musician in the Charlotte area for over 30 years. I perform several kinds of programs, including classic rock and roll favorites, traditional Celtic folk music, gospel music, and ambient background music.
I enjoy playing for any and all types of gatherings, and all ages, from school groups to senior citizens.
I am a seasoned professional, and I strive to make your event special, enjoyable, and very memorable.

Thanks so much, Lynne! It was such a nice evening, and I was honored to be part of it.
We hired Trip for my daughters outdoor wedding having heard a couple of his videos. we gave him a very specific song list Of songs to learn. He readily agreed and got to work on them. He was so easy to deal with, showed up on time and was in place and playing when we arrived. Had a smile on his face and the whole time and he was just a nice presence to have around and added to our small intimate group setting.
He was flexible about changing the order at the last minute and He sounded great with all songs!
He had clearly worked hard to get the songs just right and delivered just what we wanted!
Thank you, Trip! For adding such a great touch to our wonderful wedding.

I provide a fun, upbeat show. If it’s a concert-style presentation to a seated audience, I include some humor, history, and crowd interaction. If I am providing background music for a social event, I keep the energy level up and have very little down time between songs.
I have been performing throughout the southeastern US for over 35 years. I learned my craft on blues, gospel, and southern rock, and later discovered Scottish and Irish music.
I have played many festivals in our region, including The Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, IrishFest Camden, The Hamlet Seaboard Festival, The Loch Norman Highland Games, The Mt Olive Pickle Festival, Charlotte Goes Green, The Dandridge, Tennessee Scots-Irish Festival, The Brookgreen Gardens Summer Concert Series, and the Rock Hill St. Patrick’s Day Festival.
I provide a variety of services, including concerts, school programs, or a couple of hours of background music. I am happy to tailor a performance to suit the needs of your event.
As a solo performer my technical needs are very basic.
If the client is providing sound support, I just need a vocal mic on a boom stand, and a direct box for guitar.
For smaller events I can provide my own PA.
