Tuff Beats LLC was founded by Lamar Smith also known as recording artist Tuffy Tuff, well known for his hit song "Ghettosoundchek". Ghettosoundchek was popular throughout the Mid-West region. Tuffy Tuff was also featured in Billboard magazine in 1993 for his independent success with no major label affiliation. Tuffy Tuff reinvented himself and decided to Vj professionally as Tuff Beats. Tuff Beats have played for five star venues that include The Savoy Restaurant Pittsburgh. Tuff Beats is rated the number one Vj service in Pittsburgh, other clients include: The Gra'mu Lounge, Lady Di's, The Galaxy sports complex, 7101, Rosing Lounge, The Double S Saloon, Mckeesport Elks, The Roo Bar, H's Bar and numerous family reunions and private functions.

Tuff Beats prides itself on professional service. We cater to the client, making sure that whatever theme is being projected we meet the standards in making the party a success. To date Tuff Beats is scheduled to perform weekly throughout the summer at Market Square during lunchtime hours. Tuff Beats is also being booked in Miami, Atlanta Ga, and Tennessee.
