"Tricia's performance was just wonderful. Adults as well as children enjoyed it. Time went too fast."
Linda Keeler, Tamarack District Library.
Tricia can provide interactive musical fun for assemblies, libraries, family programs, fund raising events, ...just about anywhere that kids are growing. Her style involves children and families singing with lots of hand-clapping rhythms!
Everyone gets involved with songs, stories, and movement... Join in the fun!
"You have so much to offer the community and I am proud to call you one of the best music acts we have ever had..." Rebecca Goodwin / Bath Community Township Recreational Activities
Tricia was wonderful to work with! I would recommend her to anyone looking to entertain young children and their families.
We love Tricia's music program! She really knows how to connect with children and has created a following here at our museum. I highly recommend Tunes n Tales by Tricia.
Response from Tunes n Tales by Tricia:
I LOVE my work at the Discovery Museum in Mount Pleasant! I get to see many of the same bright faces every week, and the Discovery Staff and Volunteers are the BEST!
We love having Tricia visit our program! She is pleasant, positive, and perky! Fun does not even begin to describe what goes on when she is here! She truly loves what she does and it shows! :)
Tricia joined our team a little more than two years ago. She has been a wonderful addition to our Child Life Department. She brings happiness to our patients and our families who, given the circumstances of where they are, would otherwise have little to be happy about. We love Tricia as much as our patients do!
Response from Tunes n Tales by Tricia:
Hurley Hospital brings joy into my life as well... it constantly amazes me how much patience the patients have! I also have the utmost respect for the families, the nurses, doctors, and caregivers. The whole experience gives me a new outlook that I carry into all of my other educational and entertainment venues.
We love Tricia!! She is absolutely wonderful! Her songs, stories, puppetry, and use of props keeps children (and adults) engaged and entertained for hours! :) We have her in our classroom as often as possible! The kids get so excited when they know she is coming! Be prepared for a "rocking" good time when she comes to visit! ;)
Response from Tunes n Tales by Tricia:
Thanks, Nikki! I love the review ... I love your class!

Tricia's performances are lively, well paced, and totally interactive. She intentionally does not sing FOR her audiences, she sings WITH them. Her family audiences involve the parents as well as the children... her school presentations involve staff with the students. Her philosophy is "Join in... Life is a dance!"
She brings a bag of puppets as well as a box of musical instruments. When it's time for the literacy break, children are sound effects, characters in the story, and the forecasters of what may come next in the story.
Welcome .... sing and dance along!
All in a day's fun... even if it's a virtual performance.... expect to be involved and part of the action!
Tricia played guitar and ukulele within the context of her early childhood classroom for over 25 years. The idea of "taking her show on the road" just seemed like the natural thing to do! In pursuit of the life of a traveling artist, she now plays for libraries and festivals, entertains at family concerts, does on-site field trips, and shows up just about anywhere kids are growing! It is a wonderful life and it puts her 30 years of classroom experience to great use! She knows what to expect from both large and small audiences, brings her own sound enhancement , and can handle any and all challenges with the grace under pressure that you would expect from someone who is used to spending time with young people on a regular basis.
I usually require little more than a couple of small tables, a drink of water, and possibly a chair.... mostly if I am working with families of children under the age of 5.
I bring my own sound and it is mostly battery operated. If we are working out of doors and there is inclement weather, I might need a gazebo type covering for rain, etc.

My act usually contains a listing of songs that I take from my 3 cds that I have on my website, as well as a few tunes that come from what ever theme that the client may request. It can also vary according to the needs of the audience members, as I work with many groups with special needs children, etc. .
As a general rule...
* I start with a warm up
* I move to an interactive, echo-type tune
* I move to an interactive story, or story-song
* The next few tunes use props or instruments to keep kids involved
*A slow down song and/or good bye tune
The kids are welcome to come and interact afterwards (with puppets, if I used one in the show) examine instruments, ask questions, and just hang out, if they want as I put things away.
Laurie Berkner, Beverly Meyer (The Music Lady), Charlie Hope, Pete Seeger, Dan Zanes, and my two crazy, musical sons! Lucky me!
1-2 tables
2. Gazebo or overhead covering (for outdoor concerts, if weather is an issue)
