My name is Tyler Parks and I'm based out of Los Angeles, and travel often to Atlanta and Chicago. I am a singing guitarist and (usually) a solo act but can also curate/perform with my band. I most often excel in the genres of pop and r&b, but not limited to just those (link hidden) sets will always include recognizable song covers, enthusiastic energy, and a well thought out production.
Tyler was so great! Loved having him!

I always read the crowd to make sure that they are either: vibing along or not being distracted by their heartfelt conversations. Regardless, I consistently bring good energy, recognizable song choices, and a setlist flow that reminds you of listening to your all-time favorite no-stops album from song 1 to song 14.
Depending on the type of event atmosphere, I come willing to accept on-site requests (within my scope to play them), and the ability to MC from performance to breaks, speeches, or other event timeline specific moments.
I have played everything from engagement proposals to formal & informal corporate parties, happy hours, to large venue concerts ( solo and with a band). I'm organized, straightforward, and an expert communicator.
Originally from Atlanta, Ga and now based in Los Angeles, CA, I work as an actor, singer/musician, film editor and instructor. Over the years I have had the fortune of working on high level productions as well as the most intimate and personal ceremonies. I love performing and seeing people connect with the music and storytelling aspect of it all. I accompany myself with guitar & piano, and I tend to excel in the genres of pop and r&b, while throwing in some jazz chords/vocals or a high energy revamp of a dance song.

Although good lighting and staging would be ideal, I understand that for many events this is either not feasible or the focus is less on the performance and more of creating a unique/special environment for your guests.
Because of this I have a small PA, mic, board, and cables, that can be used for sound, I have close-range minimal lighting, and because I'm great with Tetris, I've luckily been able to fit into any space I've been given over the last 10 years. I will say - the smaller the space, the more compromising that will need to be done as instrument(s) and sound need at least a minimum of space.
