Overview
UCD Raasleela is a collegiate Raas/Garba dance team based in Davis, California. Founded in 2014, Raasleela incorporates this traditional folk dance style, which originated in Gujarat, India. Every year, Raasleela travels across the country to participate in competitions held at the national level. Through our passion for dance, we showcase our high energy and uniqueness, as well as entertain and inform the public about this beautiful tradition.

The Raasleena’s entered so professionally for a hall booked with over 200+ plus people. Their energy, moves, & entire performance had my entire family in “wow” I would definitely recommend them to those that want something completely different!! You won’t be disappointed!

Raasleela is the premier Raas/Garba team at UC Davis. As a newly established team, we hope to showcase and spread this Gujarati folk dance style. Just 3 years after being founded, Raasleela has been awarded:
Best Dressed: Garba with Attitude 2017
1st Place: Las Vegas All-Stars 2017
We look forward to any new opportunities to grow and entertain our audience with this energetic dance style!
