I do intelligent, down-to-Earth standup comedy from the perspective of a transgender woman born and raised in the South.
Pronouns she/her/hers.
I book comedy shows for a living and this particular show fell on an Easter Sunday which precipitated a particularly tricky last minute lineup change. Vandy Beth not only rose to the occasion but knocked it out of the park with her set. Her writing is both clever and playful, reminiscent of the legendary Stephen Wright. I would highly recommend her act to anyone in search of a feature length standup comedy set.
Vandy Beth performed for Lambda Legal's 50th anniversary event in the fall of 2023. It was obvious that she spent a lot of time planning for our audience as her jokes zeroed in on the work of the organization, the national issues impacting the community it represents, and individuals she knew would be in the audience. When you add her obvious preperations for the audience to her deadpan humor, the audience could not stop laughing. This event also had a secondary component of a national telecast that her performance rolled into, so our timing was a bit challenging. We needed to fill time until the exact moment that the national telecast started. Vandy Beth did not miss a beat. She could have ended her set and walked away, but she undersood the flow and was able to go with the flow and continue the laughs. Vandy Beth made the night memorable and truly set the stage for an extraordiary celebration for our organizations.
Vandy is a funny, slow burn. I love her low-key style of delivery. Book her for your show.
Vandy Beth Glenn was one of the comedians that I had on a monthly show in Woodstock, GA called The Lasting Laugh. This is a clean comedy show, so it's hard to find comedians who can do clean for at least 20 minutes. Hiring Vandy Beth Glenn was a great idea because she not only does clean comedy, she touches on a very unique topic that you won't find in some areas. One of my favorite things about her, is the fact that she is very open with her journey as a transgendered woman. In being opened about this aspect of her life, she brings such a new perspective to the world of comedy and clean comedy. Her jokes are unexpected and give you the kind of surprises that you want when attending a comedy show. Her comedy is eye opening, fresh, and fun. I think it's what we need to see more on the stage. To be clear, although I love that she's open about her life, I believe that at the end of the day, she's just down right funny. I put people on my show because I want to showcase them in hopes of gaining them more opportunities. So I hope to work with her again, and I hope more people will get to experience her amazingly talented humor!
HIRE THIS WOMAN! She was easy to book, and helped me book other comics in the area as well. She's hilarious, and brings a different lens than most comics.
Vandy performed stand-up comedy at my Middle Age Cabaret show that showcased: burlesque, comedy, drag and more! Vandy’s style of comedy fit in perfectly with the vibe of our show and she was wonderful in pitching in to promote! Would absolutely work with Vandy again!
Vandy was great to work with. Not only did she get to the event early, it was obvious she was focused on putting on a great performance for a non-paying (charity) gig. Vandy then proceeded to bring the house down which lifted the entire vibe of the event. I would love to work with Vandy again and would jump at the chance to have her on any show I’m hosting
I am a comedy show producer in Atlanta, GA. Vandy has done several of my shows and she is always amazing! She is very professional with communication, she shows up early, and, of course, she’s hilarious!
If you book Vandy for any of your events, she will definitely add a great entertainment experience for your guests
I've booked Vandy for a few shows now and she's great! I like her writing and performance style as well as the fact that she continues to write new material. She's funny, punctual, and easy to work with. She is starting to host some shows for me as well.
Vandy Beth Glenn was booked for the P3 Comedy Fest in 2023 and performed on two of our showcases- she was a stand out favorite! Festival goers were raving about her days after the fest’s end. We enjoyed working with her so much that we are excited to say we have invited her back for 2024! Highly recommended!

My set is clean, mildly intellectual, self-effacing, and based in my experiences as a transgender Southern woman, Navy veteran, University of Georgia graduate, and cat owner.
Vandy Beth Glenn is a Georgia native, public speaker, standup comedian, screenwriter, film director, and civil rights pioneer.
She has been performing standup for two years and has performed at the Laughing Skull Lounge, Dragon Con, Aurora Theatre, Emory University, and at the P3, All The Laughs, and Back Hand Comedy Festivals.
In 2007 she was fired by her boss at the Georgia State Capitol for being transgender. She sued and won, setting an important legal precedent. She has given talks and training related to her experiences for over a decade.
She holds a journalism degree from the University of Georgia. She lives in Decatur with her human partner and five ungrateful cats.
All I need is for the audience to be able to hear me. If the acoustics are right, I don't even need a microphone!

I've been told my comedy is similar to Steven Wright, Sarah Silverman, Mitch Hedberg, and Bob Newhart.
